Had a panzo, solid 8.5/10 they didn't Sautee the mushroom.andnthe green pepper before putting in the panzo which causes the panzo to become runny with water. I thought they would know better. The marinara sauce was cooked perfect not acidic at all.Got a seafood penne with a tomato based sauce. Penne was cooked properly sauce was watery could of thickened it up using some starch or some parm or a bit of cream to enhance the texture. The seafood mix was terrible mussels tasted old had to have been frozen mix with the tiniest shrimp over seen in my life( seriously I've never seen shrimp so small)Was expecting a homemade authentic meal as told by others but I left feeling like I just ate at the equivalent of an Italian McDonald's. To be fair my standards for Italian food is extremely high, being that most of my family members are chefs... but still.
Tasty food. We tried pizza, pasta, gnocchi, and all were good. Was surprised at the cost of sauce upgrade for pastas. When pasta costs $11-$14, it's a bit much to charge extra $4 for a sauce that is not the basic tomato sauce. The Alfredo sauce was very tasty though. Bruschetta tasted like over-toasted bread with toppings.
Ricci's is a local favourite in Vaughan that serves up decent Italian food in a fast and casual manner. Their restaurant sign is quite flamboyant but backed up by delicious sandwiches, pizzas, panzerotti, pastas, and even rice balls.I had the veal sandwich, which is absolutely massive - it practically filled up my entire dinner plate hot out of the wrapper. I was impressed with the four layers of seasoned veal that they managed to stuff between the buns. Their spice level is quite bearable so you can even ask for extra hot.I probably shouldn't have ordered more but couldn't resist trying their rice ball, which was nicely marinated in tomato sauce and filled with cheesy goodness. The meal and a half was reasonably priced. I went back for the fried panzerotti which was indeed next level. As for the pastas? Cooked to al dente, the portion sizes were huge but the sauces were a little bland.I like the no nonsense setup, the place has either takeout or dine-in both ordered from the counter and without too much service. If I wanted service, I wouldn't be here in the first place. They're pretty fast with the food but to avoid wait, it's a good idea to call early for takeout.
This is a very, very, very good Italian restaurant. Probably the best pizza and panzerotti in Southern Ontario. Very reasonably priced and free parking too. There's a reason this place is always busy. Great food, great service, reasonably priced. What more can you ask for?
Legit the worst Italian food I have ever had in the heart of Woodbridge. What a shame. Salads were brutal. No proper ratio of dressing. The marinara sauce for the rice balls were sweet, I think they legit used a jar of Ragu sauce. The only decent thing was their olives! Never ever again will I come back. Terrible food.
Excellent family owned pizzeria with great customer service (let me tell you about that later), but first let's talk about the food. The pizza is made with care, fresh toppings, nicely baked, and the panzerottis are so very good. We also like the hot sandwiches a lot. Which brings me to the customer service. Once we ordered some sandwiches and they misunderstood my order and didn't add tomato sauce to my grilled chicken sandwich. I had to open a jar of passata to dress the sandwich myself. A quick phone call to the restaurant to notify them, and the owner Mike was very nice and took care of us, which was very much appreciated. You can only get this kind of care from a family restaurant folks.
The pizza slice of the day was Hawaiian. It was cheap & pretty big. It tasted ok. It didn't have ham pieces but diced bacon.
Rice balls (single) with meat sauce good. Slight crisp, tasty. More & smaller balls would be better: better ratio of crispiness to body. Meat sauce was very good, though it was on the sweet side.
Tortellini with vodka sauce was good. It was a little sweet. It came with a large piece of generously buttered baguette which was ok.
My favorite pizza in the city..way better then the bigger mass produced stores.Fresh ingredients.cooked thoroughly. Great sauce. Not stingy on toppings.always fresh. They also make an awesome veal sandwich as well.Great products all around.idd suggest picking it up.long time customer. And will continue to be.very busy location so order ahead
