I came here the other day and ordered a halibut combo (fries + slaw) the drink you have to pay extra apparently.Overall it was nice and very filling due to portions.I would give this place a 3.5 really as even though it was good I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. My fries were minorly over cooked in my opinion but the owner gave me extra fries as he felt not enough was given to me the first time.

Portions are huge. The restaurant seems family owned and they are very nice. Got the seafood platter and it was really good. I like the fact they have shawarma options as well. Take out was quick. We placed 5 orders and it was ready fast and fresh.

Very clean place including the washrooms. Staff very nice and seating area more than acceptable. As for the fish and chips well that is where there is some issue. The haddock and chips are pretty damn pricey. $19.99 . For this location that seems very very high in my opinion. I would say the gold standard is Old Yorke Fish and Chips and they sell their haddock and chips for $15. I would also say the Old Yorke chips are much better. The fish at King is also good but the batter is a bit flour tasting and not light and crispy. Considering the price point I think they could up their quality. Now this place sells alot of other food so I cannot comment on those. I think they sell alot of samosas since they had two huge trays already cooked in the hot table area. Didn't try those since it was called King of Fish and Chips. Sadly they are not the King given the quality and price of the haddock. The Halibut is even more money and half the amount so don't go there. A guy came in just after me and ordered the same haddock and chips but requested no coleslaw. Man he was so right on that. It was very rough smelling. Too pickled smelling so could not even eat that. Value wise this place for Fish and Chips is 2.5 to 3. Much better options out there but maybe not in this location.

This is my go-to place for fish and chips! We discovered it during the pandemic and were going the extra mile to support local small food businesses. We are sure happy that we stumbled across King of Fish and Chips. The staff is always so friendly, the food never disappoints and the portions are huge. I'm looking forward to getting our next meal from there soon!

I paid 14.50 for this...... not worth it, service is slow, food is tasteless. The standards are soo low here. Would not recommend. Management should be ashamed they dare even call this a food establishment. They can't even afford to fix their door entrance and a sign is there asking me to be mindful of it. Truly poverty

While the fish and tartar sauce definitely were as good as any fish house out there. You pay for it!!!! It's about $5.00 a combo more than most places I've been to without a drink, just an FYI. Wasn't a big fan of the French fries though....

I ordered chicken kebab. The meat was nice. It came with a small plate of salad and a huge plate of rice that was very boring. I don't know why you would put so much rice in a plate. Should be more creative and come up with something nicer to accompany kebab

The staff here are so friendly and you can tell they take pride in the food they serve. Best fish and chips, an order of 2 haddock combos is enough for the 3 of us.

Good sized cod fillets. The fish was really tasty and well made. One the down side, the chips were hard and undercooked. The coleslaw smelled and tasted of vinegar. Could not eat either of them.
