Went to Jack Astors Vaughan for a family dinner..Had a lovely time. Place was busy but we were attended in timely manner. Our server Carine was outstanding..She helped us with making menu choices. She was patient as we had some picky eaters all vegetarians some wont eat mushrooms, some wanted protein some didnt...but Carine gave us the time to decide and brought the food as requested. She checked on us multiple times and we really appreciated that. We had a good time at Jack Astors but Carine changed the GOOD to BETTER
The food was great, as always. Jack Astor's tends to be pretty consistent with delicious food. The service was really, really poor. Our whole section was served by someone named Marla. She was really unfriendly and seemed to disappear for long periods of time and then reemerge acting like she's busy. Every table in my section (5 tables) had to get up to get their own cutlery, we couldn't find her for drinks, the bill, water, or take out containers. Every other member of staff seemed to be nice except this one. I would go for the food but I wouldn't expect much if you're looking for date night or a special occasion.

Nice bar/restaurant setting with good choice of food and drinks. The service was good but not excellent. In our opinion food was average.
The food was average. We had a really good serve her good serve her. The bar drinks were really good. Bud. The day we went I guess cause it was really busy the food just tasted a little bit bland other than that everything else was good..
Alf (written as ALP with crayon) was great. Very alert of everything. Food was great. I had chicken Parmesan, very soft and tender. Honey garlic wings were great. Busy for a Tuesday. Celebrated our son’s high school grad.

I made a reservation for a group of 24. 21 of the 24 were high school students playing in a tournament out of town. I was a server and I know firsthand that a table of teenagers isn't something servers often get excited about. The service was quick, waters and pops were refilled promptly and multiple times, the two servers on the party were enthusiastic and friendly, and all food was out so quickly from the time we sat down. I don't frequent Jack Astor's, but the next time I'm in the area I would come back or recommend it to anyone when looking to book a large group for dinner. Thank you!
An excellent service by Marla and her assistant and very good quality food. I recommend this location JA. Love to see you again soon. Here we go 3 weeks later we picked same location to enjoy a family dinner and we were lucky to be served by ALP and GIANCARLO . In addition to excellent service by both we loved how ALP helped and trained Giancarlo to start his job.
Our server Shelly did an amazing job. Even while she had a trainee with her, she was on point with everything. The service was outstanding and the food was delectable. The Fish Bowl and the Classic Hamburger were good too. I will definitely go back to Jack Astor's as it was my first time.
