Omg.Thanks so much to the Windsor community for rating this shop. We chose it based on the stars and comments and mannnn this place delivered! Flavour packed homemade sauces, AMAZING friendly, warm, talkative service and huge portions. Sweet heat was my favorite sauce, but they have 5 made daily you can sample if you ask.The pics are the beef & chicken shwarma poutine and the chicken shish tawook sandwich with wedges coated in garlic sauce.10/10
Delicious filling food! Never been but reviews raved about this place and they aren't wrong. Tons of flavour, nice large portions, and love the sweet heat sauce! The garlic sauce and hummus are soooo good too.Allowed us to try some sauces beforehand and they are so good. Just a small hole in the wall place but don't be fooled, amazing food. Definitely recommend.

It’s the best shawarma and poutine I’ve ever tried in my life!! ? it definitely deserves this high rating - or even more!!We were visiting Windsor for two days and this is the only place that we went twice.The first night we tried their OMG shawarma poutine, it’s literally an “OMG”.. everything was so perfect, the fries, the meat, and the sauce… added together they made a beyond perfect combination!We ordered their chicken shawarma and Philly cheesesteak before leaving the town. And we were amazed again! You can see the way they are making the food - they are very serious and care a lot about the quality.I regret so much that we didn’t order more of their food to take home…It’s that kind of a place that we are willing to drive 4 hours just to come eat it again.
I came here hungry after work and this place did not disappoint. I was welcomed by both owners who were really nice to me. One of them started telling me about the types of sauces that he makes and even made me sample a couple so I can decide if I wanted to add any to my dish. I ordered the mixed shawarma plate and it was very filling. Even the rice was special and tasted great. In most shawarma places they just serve with regular white rice with no flavour. Everything was full of flavour. I will definitely come back again.
Came into this place early evening on a Saturday and things were fairly quiet. I ordered a chicken platter with fries, and my girlfriend ordered a falafel wrap. She also ended up asking about their sauces, all of which are homemade, and available for order!They had some pretty interesting sauce flavors, from the standard sweet spicy (MUST try), to some more fruity flavors like spicy mango, spicy raspberry, to some VERY interesting flavors like an avocado sauce. The owners were AMAZING - they let us sample each sauce while telling us about exactly what went into each sauce (the avocado doesn’t have any sugar!). They gave us a complimentary little plastic container of the avocado sauce - by far our favorite. The avocado sauce wasn’t watered down AT ALL, very thick and full of avocado flavor. Don’t expect anything like guacamole, it’s still definitely a sauce.Back to the main food - falafel was freshly prepared and fried (we had to wait a bit, which of course is expected), and the chicken shawarma was amazing. Generous portions of garlic sauce and hummus. The side salad was nicely dressed as well, wasn’t an afterthought or anything. The avocado sauce definitely gives me California vibes and I enjoyed it with the fries (although some may give me side eye for saying that).The owners are a very friendly couple, and the restaurant gave off friendly, neighborhood vibes. They recognize regulars by the voice when they order, joke around with their customers, and even talked about and offered us samples for their rice, which they suggested for me the next time I come by, which can’t be soon enough.
What a great experience! My boyfriend and I ordered two beef shawarmas. While we waited we were able to try some of the house made sauce which was delicious! Friendly and welcoming service and excellent food. Highly recommend!
This picture is the chicken salad for takeout *I went to Steak N Shawarma for the first time today and I had such a lovely experience! The owners were very pleasant, and take great pride in their food. . Everything is homemade - the sauces, burgers, grape leaves, with all fresh ingredients. You can taste the passion, and the unique flavors just hit the taste buds differently. . Highly recommend.My new one and only shawarma
I dream about the Philly cheesesteak sandwich from here often.Absolutely amazing as is the mixed shawarma platter, and the stuffed grape leaves are the best in the entire region. The owners are a lovely couple and I love the unique house blend of various sauces available! One of the best halal places in Windsor.
