Yum! The owners are just wonderful! We ordered crispy beef and noodles. The owner threw in a side of their new sweet and sour chicken for us to try and let me tell you it was a great marketing move as I have ordered just that now twice.Everything is super fresh and the service is spot on.Highly recommend
Our family was travelling to Windsor two weeks ago, we found Shin Shin online and we want to have our dinner there, unfortunately we we're running late, it's 15 mins before closed. So we called restaurant see if they can wait for us? The answer was "YES"!All staffs were waiting for us and showed their warm hospitality and food tasty. We strongly recommend this restaurant and will back again!
The food was universally terrible, except for the pork wontons which were ok.The Mushu pork was watery and flavorless, and the crepes disintegrated instantly. The beef fried rice was flavour less and soggy. The Peking steak was soggy and consisted of 90% breading, 8% sauce, and 2% beef. The orange chicken was soggy and underwhelming. The veggie spring roll literally made me gag.The pork wontons were ok.The food was 10 minutes late when picking up our order and wouldn't have been worth the price even if it had been decent.New management sucks and so does the food. I have never thrown out so much food that was so expensive, but it was borderline inedible and the thought of eating any more of it makes me queasy. I contemplated driving back to the restaurant to demand a refund.
The new owner seemed very nice and sincere, but the dim sum was absolutely disgusting. The chicken's feet had what I believe was corn starch on it and gave it a horrible texture and the taste was bad. The shumai tasted freezer burned and very, very tough. Definitely not fresh. The har gow was decent. We asked for congee and it was brutal. The owner didn't charge for it (even before adding it to the bill) because he knew it was bad and asked we do a trial taste test first. It had way too much water, zero texture, and absolutely no taste. Not even salt. I can make it better at home. The green beans were great but pricey. Total cost just over $50 for 3 dim sum items, plus beans (with tip). I've had much better for less. Unfortunately we won't be back. I hope he's reading these reviews and does something to address the issues before it gets to the point of no return.
Excellent authentic Chinese food. Everything was freshly made . Not floating in oil kind of Chinese either. Neat and clean. Generous quantity. Good size shrimps in the shrimp fried rice . Best was the hospitality… very few Chinese restaurants welcome you with a smile. Not only that they served a dish of chicken fritters complimentary.
Not the same as the old owners. Really nice people running it , but the food wasn’t good.
New ownership, they either didn’t buy the recipes or decided to make their own food. It’s no longer the place I went to regularly for 25 years. New owners screwed up my order told me what I ordered was no longer on the menu and ripped me off. Great first impression. Never going back here again. Gross food
I tried the food from here today and I had ordered the hot and sour soup along with the teriyaki chicken. I feel like the soup was very bland and watery, I have had lot better from other places. The teriyaki chicken was okay at best. It came with chicken fried rice and it was okay as well.
Went there last Saturday evening, 3/12/2022, a group of 4. 3 of us got dinners, one of us got nothing despite ordering. His soup arrived after everyone else was done, his dinner just never showed up. One of us asked for a simple glass of water, the server jooked at us and walked away. The entire meal was bland, overcooked and disappointing. The restaurtant is dirty, and they had a television playing with graphic war footage. Yeah. For real. There was no gratuity left, and the waitress said "no tip?". We'll never be back.
Wife and I each ordered General Tao's chicken. we received 1 sauce for the two orders. both of us are eating chicken that is breaded with 0 sauce on it. waste of $40, this disappointment ruined the night
