I have tried many Chinese food restaurants in Windsor-Essex and I ha e now found my favorite and go to place. The food was lightly batterd , cooked to perfection, portion sizes on point, sauces very flavorful and as soon as I walked in the door was greeted with a smile and warm welcome. I live in McGregor and this place is 110% worth the drive for the amazing food .
Absolutely the best Chinese food I have ever had. It was very fresh and homemade. The egg rolls were incredible. The price point was very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

This food was so bad, it went straight in the garbage. Drove half hour for soaked noodles in gravy with 3 cardboard baby shrimp. Gravy/vinegar soup, gravy in Green giant beans. In addition, lids were not on, gravy all over car. My cats wouldn't touch this garbage, unfit for consumption. Fortune cookies only thing edible. Cost....$36.00 plus gas. Never, ever again.
Never any complaints.One of the best classic restaurants in Windsor.But today, they've outdone themselves. Placed an order, 15 minutes later it was here.You think it would be cold, and maybe missing something....nope.All hot,fresh and delicious.Been here many years, I hope my grandkids are ordering from them for years too come.6 stars!!
First time - travelled half hour for this only to throw right in garbage. Ordered two hot sour soups; shanghai noodles with shrimp and pork; spicy green beans. What did I really get? A car full of spilled gravy because lids were not on properly. Lets start with soup - dark gravy with a bottle of vinegar. Noodles - over cooked noodles soaked in gravy with 3 baby cardboard shrimp - dont recall seeing any pork. Now the beans….these were frozen Green giant style beans in yes, you guessed, gravy. It was hands down the worst Chinese food ever. This restaurant is an insult. My cats wouldnt even touch this. Thirty six dollars plus the gas and time it took to only throw this out. The only thing edible were the fortune cookies - I believe one of them warned me to stay away from this rip off place.
We called and made a reservation because we had heard it was so popular and had great reviews and wanted to be able to have dinner... WELL this place is amazing!!! Well organized, spotless restaurants tables were well set and inviting.. all the condiments on table full and clean, water filled in glasses, napkins standing up menu was spotless. So impressed... waitress was right over to take our drink order, returned and took our order. Everything came out hot and delicious...won ton soup was so tasty. Ordered combination plates....wow 8 sweet and sour chicken balls...shrimp combo was delicious...Excellent service from attentive waitress dinner was totally awesome...The whole experience was GREAT!!!! Highly recommend this place....prices were reasonable as well...thank you for a wonderful dinner...

My neighbourhood bulletin board raves about the Pomegranate restaurant so I had to try it. The food was so good that we now order every other week. The curry chicken is amazing (and healthy because there are veggies!!). We love the hot and sour soup and of course sweet and sour chicken balls. The chicken fried rice is the best I've ever had. When I see bad reviews that use the same words over and over I can only think thats from a competing restaurant. Try Pomegranate. You won't be disappointed.
I usually don't leave reviews, but this time I had to. Terrible food no teast st all. Changed me extra for chicken fried rice and I only got rice with soy sauce and no chicken or veggies. Don't know how they have clients lol
