Came from Waterloo looking for something quick to grab. Quality service. Drinks and service was top notch. Pictures filled to the brim! Special shout out to Lacey who was an absolute gem! She checked up on us as needed and made sure we left with a smile.

The burgers and the boneless chicken are great.... Think that there could have been a bit more fries (waffle type) ;; Service was very good ... would like to see a couple more 4$ pints of beer just for a change...
Stopped in last night. Place was empty on a Saturday night. There were only two guys at the bar who work there and were having drinks on their time off. I should say that both these guys were super friendly and I enjoyed their conversation. They’re the only reason my experience wasn’t completely awful. Bartender was rude and condescending. She actually said to me at one point: “boy I can’t wait for your review.” I’m sorry that I’m not Joe Jerkoff having his first beer. If I order a Guinness on tap I’m going to ask you if the lines have been cleaned recently because Guinness tastes awful if the lines are dirty. Overall was not a good experience. 4-5 years ago John Max had a positive party vibe and the staff was super friendly. Now I understand why nobody was in there last night…
Everything worked out good...It's too bad that the volleyball is gone...it made the whole place exciting..... the food was great and the servers were very good.
