Popped in for lunch.Ordered the a 2 Halibut Fish Taco combo. Dining companion ordered Halibut and Chips combo.Fish Tacos were great, although the "balls" of Halibut had to be cut in half in order to fit in my mouth. The only complaint I have is that the coleslaw they put on it was too watery...the soft taco shells became mushy.Halibut and Chips were a hit. Great portion size and not a ton of batter.Will go back. Fries were seasoned a la New York Fries.
The best fish and chips by far! The fries were well seasoned and has a distinct taste. The fish were not over battered at all, and it was delicious. The fish tacos are one of the best! The calamari sauce and the the squid were very tasty. It's not your typical bland fish and chips! Must try and have again and again! Servers were kind and helpful as well!!
The fish is decent but I prefer Pat and hanks or Michigan diner. Also fries are soggy and kind of bland. The rolls were stale and I was hoping for creamy coleslaw but it was the green vinegar one, which wasn't terrible but nothing great. The main reason I am giving this place a two star is because we pre-ordered and they forgot half our order (only two dinners so nothing huge) and while we were waiting for one of the dinners they served 3 walk-ins before us. I thought that was kinda lame.
Ordered Cod dinner for lunch, Fries are in this color. Dont know if they over fried it or was the from the last take.Previously food was good, now their quality is decreasing.
My 2 star rating is only because the place was clean. As for the halibut fish and chips they where not even worth eating. 3 of us had lunch not one of us ate our meal. 2 picked the fish out of the falling apart batter and the fries had a spice on them. Not something that goes with fish and chips. The food was not cooked properly-the oil must not have been hot enough as everything tasted greasy and heavy.We will not be a repeat customer
This place is consistently great. We always get the junior halibut pack and the price is very fair for what you get. The pieces of fish are substantial. Small request: Add salt as an option for the fries. We’re not a huge fan of the seasoning. That’s a small nitpick because this place is great overall.
Fish was excellent portion size. Great taste.I personally would prefer a chunkier chip with no skin but outside of that I have no issues and found the fish comparable to stuff back in the UK.

I was excited to try this place and I wish my experience was like the five star reviews, however I do agree with the less than three star reviews. I ordered the seafood platter with onion rings. The batter is bland and didn’t seem to be fully cooked. There was probably more batter than there was seafood. The calamari was the only thing not cooked in the same batter, which was unpleasantly spicy. They give sweet chili Thai sauce which I love normally, but I don’t think it should go with “authentic” fish and chips, and the tartar sauce is not house-made, as the owner claimed two weeks ago. The tartar sauce has “Don Mills, ON” right on the packaging. I wish I had a better experience, but perhaps the experience I had was a fluke. I am willing to give this place another chance but perhaps I’ll order something different next time.
Fish was excellent. Dinner was pricey, but good. Frustrated to get home to find no tartar sauce however so do check your order carefully before leaving.
