We recently treated one of our dearest friends to a 50th anniversary dinner at Ciao Cucina Nuova. It is a newer restaurant in our area, so we wanted to support them. We heard from a few friends that the food was good but there were other issues that bothered them which I will not elaborate on. From the minute we were seated the server/owner hovered over us urging us to place our orders. This was to be a relaxing evening out, to catch up on our lives, enjoy a leisurely drink, but not to be hurried or hovered over. A fine establishment can read their guests requirements and proceed accordingly. We did say we were not in a hurry and that this dinner was a special occasion....our friends 50th. Well, after a time, the owner finally caught on. The food was good and the presentation lovely. However, the owner did absolutely nothing to acknowledge this milestone occasion for our friends...so disappointing. As everyone knows word of mouth goes a long way to market and advertise any new restaurant. This place will not be added to my favourites. The next evening we ate at another well known restaurant in the area for my husband's birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make him and my family feel special and our presence valued. That experience prompted me to write this review.
This place is a MUST try! A true gem of a restaurant in the town of Tecumseh!!! Food, service and ambience was absolutely incredible!! Doesn't even feel like you're in Windsor Essex County. We live about 20 min away and it was soo worth the drive!!!! Such an amazing experience and cannot wait to come back! HIGHLY recommend dining here. You will not be disappointed!!
What a Wonderful Dinner at CIAO in Lakeshore tonight....Absolutely AMAZING Food and Service!!! Had the trio --fettucce Alfredo, chicken parmigiana, lasagna. Delicious... Hubby had Salmon dinner cooked to perfection...Caesar salad was so tasty. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant Thank you so much. See you soon...

Our first visit to Ciao Cucina Nuova last night after a friend’s recommendation. As foodies who have eaten all over the world and countless times in Italy this meal was as good if not better than we’ve ever had. The food was outstanding, delicious, well presented and entrees piping hot. Service was excellent. It would have been nice if the front of the house owner had come to our table as she did to others who seemed to be regulars. We will return for sure. Thank you for a great experience
I had a reservation booked for this evening and was unable to make the reservation due to my child being sick. With everything going on I had forgot to cancel my reservation. I did not even realize that I didn’t call to cancel my reservations until I received a phone call 30 mins after my set reservation time from the restaurant. The person who called me was extremely rude stating that I should have called because they could have filled the table. I explained the situation and she continued to be very rude and again said well it would have nice for me to call so they could have filled the table! This was to be my first time visiting there new location and I will never give them my business again!
We had a ladies night dinner at Ciao and everything was fabulous! The food was delicious. Everything was so flavourful and fresh. The service was top notch too. Looking forward to booking a table again soon!
We did take out through Covid & finally made time to go in and eat. The food was outstanding!! Loved the service, ambiance was fun- we will be back often. So happy that they moved to the east side!
Most amazing restaurant I have ever dined at…The ambiance is gorgeous, excellent food, excellent service. The staff is so wonderful! Cannot eat pasta anywhere else, definitely the best restaurant in Windsor-Essex area.
Had a wonderful dinner here! Food was plentiful & delicious-service was friendly & helpful. Menu is great-don’t see what you like? Just build your own plate-perfect idea. If you want a more intimate table, choose a table for two in the hallway-very romantic. Highly recommended
