We had dinner last night at The Lake Grill. There were 4 of us. We all ordered different dishes and each one was both unique and spectacular. I had The lamb rack special which was cooked to perfection and the reduction was amazing and flavourful. The surf and turf special was equally amazing, the scallops were prepared the best we have ever experienced. One of our friends had asked to have one of the chicken dishes prepared differently and they were most accommodating. The chimichurri steak they have on their menu was also cooked beautifully. Portion sizes are perfect and the appetizers are awesome. Make sure you leave room for dessert. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. Our servers were engaging and attentive. They all enjoy their jobs which makes the experience so much better. We will definitely be back and soon.
It's a small cozy place but it's nice that you can see the chef cooking. Everything we had was delicious, cooked perfectly and plated nicely. It got very busy so it took a little time before our order arrived but the wait was worth it. When you think about it, it's amazing that one chef is able to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously and arrive at our table at the same time and everything was perfect.
Probably the best filet mignon steak dinner I’ve ever had! This was our first time here and wow, what a hidden gem! Staff and service are excellent. My husband had the shrimp and ribeye pasta and raves about it. Food was fresh and delicious and served piping hot (a rarity these days!). We will definitely be back! Thank you!
We went here for a birthday celebration a couple of weeks ago and the food is amazing! The staff and chef are friendly and interactive! If you are like us and have not found this hidden gem, you need to eat here immediately. We are always looking for places like this and they are rare. We will be back many times! Best food we have had in Durham!
Very friendly chef Jose. Amazing hostess Norma. Very friendly environment, very well decorated. The food is to die for, the chicken parmesean is Amazing as well as the calamari. All the food is fresh and very well prepared. Would recommend this place to anyone and I hope it's around for a very long time ?
