It was just our first visit to the pub, only ordered chicken wings, seafood linguine, a glass of coke and a cup of hot water. The server was very friendly and attentive. The taste of food was good in general.The flavour for the wings we chose was "Honey BBQ", it's on the sweet side but a stronger taste of BBQ sauce would be more preferred. As for the seafood pasta, the linguine was al dente which is the texture I liked. However, the seafood (except the shrimp) were tiny and not that fresh (I think they were those frozen mixed seafood?).Will revisit this pub to try the other food when we happen to go to Whitby again.
Awful dining experience. We got a platter that contained wings, nachos, and pizza.The pizza tasted worse than a cheap frozen grocery store pizza, the nachos were cold and flavourless with olives that made my stomach turn.The wings themselves were ok but had no breading on them. It is the expectation that pub wings come breaded by default.As for the experience with the staff/service, it was equally as bad - The tables around us were empty of customers but instead were occupied by the restaurant’s staff who were either on or off their shifts, and were drinking and smoking cigarettes.
We tried to go to wild wing, but it was packed. We drove by shamrocks and we were so glad we did! Our waitress Marissa was very nice and accommodating. She was quick with refills and service and didn’t come over every 10 minutes to ask if the food was okay, which I love. The atmosphere was very calm and inviting. Music wasn’t too loud, all the tables were talking at normal volume. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Best pub food I’ve ever had! Wings were $8 a pound on Saturday’s, they are very generous with portions and the wings were great. I ordered the Cajun chicken Caesar wrap and it was to die for. Fries were perfectly crispy, gravy was excellent. The wrap was LOADED with chicken which is so rare. Perfectly seasoned and the Caesar dressing tasted homemade and was delicious. The tortilla had been grilled beforehand without the toppings in it and it had that perfect, charred flavour without the soggy, warm toppings. 10/10 will be recommending to all and will be returning!
Decent pub food. Very friendly service. Good place for fish and chips, but wish they used paper instead of styrofoam, as it could use something to absorb the grease.
Fantastic great food prices are more then fair. Friendly Staff, Pool tables in basement go have a game!
Service was a little slow but we did show up with a team of 17 hockey players and parents so won't hold that against them as the 2 servers we had working our group were fantastic, organized and friendly. Food was generous portions and great price.
Great chicken wings at 59 cents from 11 AM to 5 PM. Very reasonable prices and good food. Very friendly staff.
We ordered take out through Skipthedishes and I must say we are throughly impressed with the prices, quality and portion sizing. We also asked for a side of gravy as we didn't see it on the menu for ordering and they gave it to us free of charge. By far the most affordable wings I have ordered for the amount as well. Truly shocked!! Thank you so much Shamrocks pub and grill ! Phenomenal food and customer service we will be back!
