I experienced the same issues, as other customers. The menu video boards were completely black and not working. Customer service was non-existant from the glaring cashier and backup cook/henchman... as I tried to politely place an order, where a heavy language barrier was present. I went to use the washroom and it was filthy. This included a heavy and disgusting sink, that was precariously sticking to the wall with a gallon of fresh silicone. This location's walls, seats, tables, floors and signs: all showed various shades of grime. I was hungry, rolled the dice and my chicken burger tasted ok. If I make it through the next couple of days unscathed, I'll go to Vegas.P. S. Popeye's should have a little pride, and have a Regional Manager deal with this.P. S. S. Durham Region Safe Dining Health Inspectors, maybe?
Digital menus were not working so ordering was very difficult, we should've taken that as a sign. I had the Buffalo Chicken burger, it was fresh which was nice but tasteless. My husband ordered the daily special which was 3 pieces of chicken. Paid 1.80 upcharge for white meat only. Was given a small breast, a wing and a thigh. Asked to have all white meat and not a wing and a thigh the employee decided to argue that it was white meat only. She even took it out of the box and held it up for the manager to see and said "this is white meat right?" So rude, won't be back. Aside from this the restaurant looks so run down.
It was as if the chicken was dipped into a tub of salt and then more salt was added on top. I hate wasting food but had to throw out last quarter of the burger because how incredibly high the sodium content was
When one orders an 8 piece family meal, one doesn't expect 4 drumsticks, a wing, two backs, and one breast piece. Not for the price of a family meal. KFC doesn't do that. At least not in my experience.
Not entirely horrible, but not where it should be for sure. Everything, from the popcorn Shrimp to the Chicken Tenders was super salty. However, the bigger reason for the 2 stars is the service. First, they've got the order wrong because they only know one thing: "combo?". As soon as you're "out of the script", it's over, you need to repeat everything 3 times. To top it off, not a single sorry or thank you. Will not visit again.
It was really hot inside, couldn't eat good. But service is fast.
Absolutely terrible experience, ordered tenders and some other stuff and was disappointed that the tenders were so salty, I couldn't eat them, called the store spoke to a creep who claims to be the manager and he said its not their problem since it comes pre-made from head office , asked for his name so that I could get a replacement for something else or refund and the guy said why do I need his name....this store is terrible and lost a customer for life...
I bought multiple items for my family but was unable to eat most of it , the chicken and tenders were way too salty. What a waste of good money ? Never buy from this location again
There is Popeyes chicken.. then there is this place... owned by some people who clearly have no idea what Louisiana chicken is and also don’t keep it too clean there either, chicken was disgusting to eat.. bathroom falling apart.. this is why some places shouldn’t franchise
This has gone downhill, chicken had an odd flavour to it, missing the usual taste for Popeye's. Customer service has taken a dip as well.The poutine concoction was unpleasant at best. Tasted like half a pound of salt was just dumped into it.
