Absolutely excellent staff and food. Enjoyed both Vietnamese and Thai foods. Will definitely be back.
Great service. Not authentic Vietnamese food but they share the love of Vietnamese food to everyone. Their Pho is not bad.
This was perhaps my first time eating here but my boyfriend comes here often. He ordered us Vietnamese spring roll, spring rolls, Har Gaw and 2 medium sized pho surprze. everything was delicious. Pho was so yummy, that I will need to not order apps so I can actually finish my pho. Lol. Will need to try the wonton pho next time or Thai curries.
Love this restaurant and the owners are amazing !!! Definitely would recommend the the shrimp wontons. Same with the lemongrass chicken, and curry Thai noodles !!
Run. Don't walk. Go next door. Go anywhere else. Or, maybe their Pho is amazing. Try that. The dinner portion of the General Thai tasted like nothing. Like. Nothing. Huge portion of white rice with minimal cooker veg and random lettuce and cucumbers. Small portion of mostly battered chicken with zero..... zero....flavour. Not going to even mention what the other portion of my meal tasted like....I'll spare you all. Giving them a 2 because I'm being kind and heard their Pho is pretty good.
I frequently come see Jenny and family here for their pad Thai and general Thai chicken, depending on what I'm feeling like eating. At a very reasonable rate for lunch and selfsame for dinner, the price doesn't match the quality at all, which is to say that it'd be easy to spend double what you do here, for the same thing, in some upscale Toronto spot.Instead this is one of the best places in Whitby for an excellent hot lunch or dinner, either for dine in or take out.Very friendly, very quick, and happy to customize orders if you discuss it with them ahead of time.Personally, I trend to having their Pad Thai with chicken, no coriander, no chili flakes, extra peanuts, and it's fantastic.Would highly recommend everybody try this once (then keep coming back for more!)
Ever since moving to Durham, I’ve tried a few different “pho restaurants” Pho Surpryz has now become my “go to place”! However, I personally have a few favourites when ordering from here as I haven’t enjoyed everything that I’ve had here. It isn’t the best I’ve ever had as well, but it’s definitely the best in the area in my opinion.. I always order the Tom Yum Soup & Lemongrass Chilli Chicken!
The worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. It tasted (and looked) like the sauce was made of ketchup, the takeout box had a hole in it and the flavour was way off. The farthest thing from true Pad Thai flavours. Will not be returning.
Food is the best pho and Thai food in durham region I've ever had. I'm from Markham where there are many pho and Thai food available and this is by far one of my favourite. Only down side is they are never open even when it says they should be open according to Google schedule or close early.
We first found this place by accident, and stepped in to order takeout during the covid shut down. We have since returned several times to take a break from home cooking. Their food is amazingly good and service is fast. The owner runs this place with her family. She is lovely to talk to and never fails to chat and explain some of the dishes. Great small talk while waiting for your food, which never takes long. Their soups are perfect for winter days or any day for that matter. They are local and should be supported. Dont come here expecting watered down Thai or Viet dishes. You can enjoy them as mild or as hot as you can handle. The flavours are GREAT ...we will be back many more times
