4oz homemade burger great fries gravy&a drink in the combo under $15. Worth the drive from pickering. Great view too
I've driven past Pete's Big Bite several times and always meant to drop in and try their food. It was finally time! A foodie friend had arranged a meetup with fellow foodies. This place has a very retro vibe to it, kinda like an old fashioned drive in. They have a few booths inside, along with a few high-top tables, and soda fountain style stools at a counter. They also have checkered floors and a car theme going on with the decor. Very retro. Very cool! Oh, they also have tables outside on a makeshift patio. Nice! Most of us had burgers, of course, one added a poutine, and another had a salad. We all got an ice cream sundae to finish this great tasting meal! The burgers were big, juicy, very tasty, and loaded with bacon - some had peameal, others had strips. They were generously dressed the way we liked. The fries were nice and crispy and came with gravy. Nice! The chunky Greek salad was good, dressed with olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, and large pieces of feta. The poutine with pulled pork was generously dressed with cheese curds and gravy. I should have stolen a taste! Next time. This was a good outing. It was nice to meet other foodies - people with similar interests. The food was really good, and so was the service. I'll definitely be back!Note: This review was not solicited by Pete's Big Bite. We paid for our meals.
Amazing burgers. Got the Fire Hall burger combo and it came loaded with bacon that was perfectly cooked. It was soooo good! Fries were nice and crispy without being overcooked and the gravy was excellent. Had the brownie sundae for dessert which is brownies with chocolate soft serve and chocolate sauce. A chocolate lover’s dream!
We have been here a few times since moving to the area and we are never disappointed. The last time we had the big bite burger and I couldn't finish it, so this time I ordered the 4 oz and it was perfect. The place has a great vibe and was busy! The customer service everytime we have been here has been outstanding!Pete was lovely and treated everyone who came in like family he even knew some of the customers names. This is definitely our go to place for burgers and fries. The prices were excellent and I believe cheaper than fast food places. We ordered cheese on all our burgers and it covered the burger from edge to edge. The food was cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a great burger you won't be disappointed. The pictures don't do it justice!
Stopped by for a quick lunch with the kids and this place didn’t disappoint. We had to order before sitting down and it gets overwhelming with all of the options and choices for the burgers they have especially that they ask you what you want on it as well after (so be sure to know what you want on it in addition to what it comes with lol). Ordered the Cowboy burger, Bad boy burger, and two kids burgers for the kids. The burgers were all great (next time I’ll try the one pound burger and less toppings to see the quality of the meat) but it didn’t fall short of expectations..gave me the diner vibes. The kids enjoyed their meals but next time maybe split a combo as it was a bit much for them, the poutine was great here as well, clean and solid diner will be back..the total cost for food was just under $60.
It sad when you find a spot like this that has been around for 70 years, and you wonder why didn’t I know about this place!?!?Great food great service. Highly recommend!
I love this place; never let's me down. I'm a big fan of the Philly-cheese steak (minus the green peppers and onions, yes, I'm a little weird, lol). Getting the gravy with combo is also always great. Extra meat on philly!!!Staff is always a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend Pete's to everyone.
The food is excellent, the service is on point, Pete is a super nice guy. Try the Philly Cheesesteak, it is the best in town.
We normally like Pete's big bite, but lately it has been terrible. My husband has found pieces of bone and/or grisol in bad boy and 911 burgers. The portions are pretty descent, but if you aren't enjoying it. What is the point. I hope you change your meat sourcing in the future to better quality. Everyone is very friendly though, except when I witnessed Pete yelling at his staff in the kitchen one busy night. Very unsettling in front of customers, I rather him speak to them more respectfully in private.
Amazing burger and onion rings, son says sweet potato fries and dip were excellent. Great nostalgic vibes and the guys are very nice. Super clean if youre dining in.
