Great food. Authentic preparation. Family owned. Nice ambience. Lacks nothing. I recommend for a nice casual night out for a light meal or a quick bite either ways you’ll not regret the cost to quality ratio. Food arrived pretty quick. It’s like a self serve place (or at least we picked our own food from the counter) we chose the corner table with high rise seating. There are plenty of other options to sit at. Ordered two chicken portions and one beef. Each meal comes with rice, a salad, a bread(naan?) and some spicy kind of sauce for the table. It’s good, food was a little dry for me, but I’m a person who prefers gravy so my choices probably don’t reflect the majority of taste buds out there. It’s a unique taste here, authentic I guess, I don’t really have anything to compare it to, so in my case I’d say it’s authentic and good. Shukran
Best kept secret in Whitby! This place rocks. Fresh, fast, delicious tasting food at a reasonable price with a friendly staff and owner. Afghan food is my new favorite thing. I've been getting take out far too much since discovering this place. Tried the Beef Tikka,Lamb Shank Mixed grill to name a few. All meals come with fresh Naan bread salad Basmati rice and when available the best Chicken soup ever
My rating is 4.5 and wish Google provisioned that. This is by far the Best Afghani Food that I have had so far in GTA. I have tried at three other places of which two are famous chains in GTA so yes I highly recommend this place.
The customer service here is much better than Ajax location. Very polite and professional. Food is nicely packed and enough portions are offered. They added cutlery and napkins in the order and made delicious food. treated much better here. I recommend this place! :)
Maimana is absolutely delicious and now my #1 spot for Afghan Cuisine. I can’t believe it took me so long to find it! Everything we ordered was delicious, freshly made and quality food! I would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious meal!
My new favorite restaurant in Whitby. It’s my second time trying them out here and I felt the same feeling as the first time. Now it is in my top five list of Durham Region. I highly recommend it.
I order from here at least once a week, the mixed grille is an amazing dish. Extremely flavourful, healthy, and complimented very well by the sauces. The dish includes a salad and naan, which are equally as awesome. I am salivating just writing this review.Please include the soup on your Uber Eats menu, it’s great!
I’m a big foodie and I love Afghan cuisine. I have tried most (if not all) Afghan places within Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal and I can assure you Maimana tops the list by far in terms of authenticity with great affordable price. In particular, the owner and the staff are extremely friendly and always care about the quality of the food and asks for feedback, I go there once a week as I love supporting local restaurants, thanks guys for amazing food and great customer service!! If you’re there, try their Lamb Shank with Kabuli rice, you’ll be served well!
One word - Awesome. We came here for dinner with a large group of friends. This place has ample of space and great ambience. Wasn't that crowded and the service was great. The food was made to perfection. Special mention the Naan was just so amazingly fresh and soft, couldn't stop eating it. Have to come back here. Please like my review if you find it helpful.
