One of my favourite restaurants in town. Always fresh. Friendly staff good prices, lots of good food.
We’ve recently tried this place twice in the past month. After trying many different Chinese food spots throughout Durham ( we moved to ajax last year) we may have finally found our go to spot. The New York style chow mein is a unique menu item for Canadian Chinese food and it was fantastic to say the least, there are 5 or 6 different types. Sesame shrimp , Chicken balls, and Shanghai noodles all excellent as well. This is one of the very few places where we didn’t have to add soy sauce to their fried rice!! Looking forward to our third timeGood place for staple Chinese take out ?????????
Order four items. Received three. Spoke with what seemed like the manager. Explained the problem. The response was sorry. Never did Receive the missing item. Needless to say. It will be the first and last time.
i JUST MOVED TO WHITBY AND REALLY WANTED SOME CHINEESE FOOD. I FOUND THIS ON THE WEB AND THOUGHT I WOULD GIVE IT A TRY. THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC ! THE DELIVERY WAS VERY FAST AND THE FOOD WAS PIPING HOT WHEN IT GOT HERE. I WILL DEFINITELY BE USING THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN.

We ordered various dishes off the menu for pick up at 6 and the food was ready right on time,exactly as ordered , hot and delicious. We live nearby so picked it up and paid cash as you get a free menu item over a certain amount if you do this. We chose the sweet and sour spare ribs as our extra and were pleased as they were not only delicious but boneless! We will definitely order from 5 Star again. 👍
Big fan of this place. Unlike many others their chicken ball batter is light and fluffy, not hard. Their egg rolls are not overcooked, their prices are in line with other asian cuisine. Great combo plates too, makes for a quick and easy order. Well done.
This place is my family's Go To when we're craving Chinese food. The dishes are so flavourful and fresh. Kids especially love their Chicken Balls because they aren't overly breaded or too big - more of a two-bite, crispy ball with juicy meat. Really tender long BBQ Spare ribs, and the BEST Cantonese Chow Mein. Make sure to add Wonton Soup to your order because they do it right - delicious broth, 4 wontons, pork slices and onions. My recent order was placed with only an hours notice and everything, including some special instructions, was perfectly accurate and delicious. Best Chinese Food in Whitby for sure!
This restaurant is close to our house. Its convenient. We ordered new year's eve dinner, when we came home we realized one of the main dishes was not included. Understandably, it was super busy, but it was disappointing not to have the one particular dish. Not sure if we will go back.
Great pricing, portions and taste. Will definitely return, especially for the New York Lo Mein!
