Used to love this place. Picked up Halibut and chips today. The portion of chips was ridiculously small and the chips were soggy. The fish was paper thin with a batter that was white not the usual golden brown. $20 for fish and chips that were lousy!
Fries were ok. Fish was super thin, and batter was soggy with chunks of raw dough. Batter should be light and crispy.
I appreciate how friendly and helpful the tall female employee with the red hair is. She always brightens my day when I see her. The food is also good.
Owner is cheap, greedy and rude. Food quality is bad compare to other franchise. They do not follow same same protocol as other for promotions and deals.

First visit — for no particular reason — in years. Was greeted as soon as I walked in the door to order take-out. Got good advice as to the fish and chips package that best suited my needs. Fast prep time, for a very reasonable price. Was asked for any condiments required, which were generously supplied. Friendly service. Brought food home. Fish was crispy, not greasy, oil tasted fresh. Chips were unsalted, good size. Good parking on-street on Byron or at nearby Town of Whitby lot for ease of pickup.
Ordered fish and chips by Uber Eats. The food was cold (and I am just down the street), the fish was hard and there was hair in the food. Will never order from there again!! Gross

I couldn't even finish the salad and fries but I had to finish the delicious fish! The batter was crispy-crunchy and the fish was moist and tender. The food was amazing and the service was friendly, personal, and professional!With dining rooms closing tomorrow (January 4th, 2022) due to COVID/Omicron, Capt. Generous portion sizes, the fish was nice and crispy. We ordered two meals and could not eat it all. Staff and owner are polite and friendly. The place is kept clean. Will not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. Looking forward to eating here next time.
