We went on a Sunday afternoon and sat outside. There were plenty of seats since we went early. Service was attentive and friendly (Emma) and the food came pretty quickly. The beers are good on tap and a decent selection. The fish and chips were really rather authentic. The salad was a bit same old same old. The problem was that the place has very little atmosphere and the location (if you are sitting outside), is very very boring. Wasn't really quite Brooklin. Wasn't really quite a pub.
Inside environment is nice, but we stayed outside to the patio that is beside a high traffic road. They probably need to invest more on that area and make it more comfortable. It seems after Covid-19 patios are here to stay. Food was good and service did their best.
The food was great. It arrived after what was the longest wait I've ever experienced but what else would you expect when you're at the only sit down open in town on a holiday Monday? It wasn't a problem as we were in no hurry and the time seemed to pass quickly. Our server was so apologetic but it wasn't necessary. I had a good time.
Great service last night and food was enjoyable. Unfortunately the guests as the table beside us must not realize that going out for dinner means that you don't put your feet up or loudly belch continuously however this is no fault of the staff. They were very attentive and it was fairly busy.
We went Friday night for a couple of beers and dinner.... I have to say we had high expectations and we were totally turned off. We got seated and were given menus but no drink menus, so when the waitress got to the table I asked for the drink menu. She came back with the drink menu and she said she would be back to take our order. So we waited and waited and waited....she never came back to our table. Finally another waitress that was serving another table asked if we had been taken care of... and we indicated no (took 27 min) We ordered the food came but after all that the food was mediocre at best ? The second waitress was great but we we were totally disappointed.
Nice atmosphere, but specifically asked for a burger NOT well done and it was charred and dry. Deep fried pickles and onion rings were good. Fries were okay but needed catsup which was in short supply (waiter brought me two bottles of ketchup but both had only about one teaspoon of ketchup). Others at my table did enjoy their meals, so it was just mine that was poor.
Food was good, drinks were good, service was good when it eventually arrived. We had sat there for over an hour before even our appetizers arrived. Then it took almost 20 minutes to even get the cheque.Still, solid 3.5-4 out of 5 stars.
We hosted our friend's 50 birthday party at Brooklin Pub with over 100 guests, friends, and families.This place is awesome!!!They served variety of delicious starters to dinner menus. We loved the food.In house DJ service was simply superb.We were taken care by friendly bunch of staff. Special thanks to (Jerica; Skyler; Darias) and the Managers.Looking forward to host another event based the pleasent experience.An upscale pub in Whitby.!!!
My first time coming to this pub. My server was outstanding. She was so patient with me while I asked questions about the menu. I believe her name was Emma. Dark haired young girl. Recommend sitting it her section. The food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be going back!
Had a wonderful meal last night to celebrate a friend's birthday. Service was great and very attentive. She even found a candle for the birthday girl's cake.
