Thai Noodles Soup

Stopped in for lunch with friends from Pennsylvania on our way to Toronto. Excellent food, we ordered the Crispy Pad Thai, the Green Curry, Khao Soi with chicken and Pad See Ew. The portions were generous and we shared with each other. We all agreed that everything was very tasty with the Crispy Pad Thai being the best choice. Would definitely go out of our way to stop in again.

Came here with my wife this past weekend. We got a basil fried rice with chicken and a rice noodle dish. Both were quite delicious. Portion size was good for us, we were full after. We also ordered an appetizer of shrimp chips which came with a very good peanut/coconut dip. Overall, it was a very good experience. It's a nice cute spot.

I ordered chicken pad thai and chicken wonton. Wonton was okay but slightly chewy for me. Pad thai got too much fish sauce in it and it smells very bad I couldnt take more than first try!! When asked they said they will add more fish sauce in it ! probably just me not liking it then

I’m a little torn, I feel like the food overall would be good here but I have to review what I ordered. The pad Kee mao is always my favourite and it was really well done here. Good portion, all the right flavours and noodles done right. The street pad thai was almost inedible for us. The amount of fish sauce used was so off putting, as soon as we opened the box you’re smacked in the face with a fishy smell and the taste was just as bad.The mango sticky rice was alright, it was pretty salty to be honest but I still enjoyed it.I feel like the pad thai is just a miss here, we ended up throwing it out.. We had 4 people at my house try it nobody wanted it.Also price wise it’s pretty high for thai food.

I came to this location because of the many reviews I read online. It is in a weird location by a traffic light so I parked at the side of the road a couple stores down but they may have parking in the back. The famous desert lives you to the hype. Ripe mango, sweet sticky rice, very tasty. The pad Thai was just ok

Pretty good food overall. The rice dish was really good with the ground beef. The fish cakes and the shrimp chips were more meh and I would not recommend getting them. Still, this is a pretty good Thai place for the location and has food that most other places don’t have. Hence wanted to give 5 stars as this is in Brooklin and not Bangkok.

I think this is the best Thai food in Whitby/Oshawa area. As others have mention the portion sizes are small for the price that you are paying. I’ve ordered a few times and the food has been great.

The first time we had Bangrak was 2 years ago, the taste of their food is very good and authentic. The issue (even from 2 years ago) is portion size. The photos shown is exactly what we got after removing the lid., this is quite unacceptable given the prices of these dishes. The container is 20% empty! Wok in express down the street fills every container up like every other take out place. All I have to say is, charge enough and give your customers 100% of the product, let them decide if its worth it instead of skimping on the portion.

So I actually really like the food at this place. And if I didn't like the food so much I probably wouldn't have written this review. What puts me off is the erratic and unstable hours. Part of being a great take-out place in the hearts of customers is being open when you need them. With Bangrak the opening days/hours are i) limited, and ii) a moving target. I get it's a family business and they probably have some other priorities so this isn't personal, but if I'm giving feedback on the business that would be it. Love the food, don't love finding out when I call on a Thursday (or whatever) at 6:37pm that they've suddenly decided to be closed on Thursday that week.
