It was my first time at Matteo’s. Brought my parents and boyfriend for dinner. The service was exceptional, friendly staff, warm ambiance. The food was simply amazing and mouth watering. I cannot wait to come back next week. This is a gem for the Niagara region. Thank you very much to everyone.
Absolutely delicious food. We were so impressed with the service and friendly staff. The food was fresh and filled with flavour. It reminded us of our vacation in Italy. What a wonderful little gem in the heart of Welland. Definitely going back!
My husband & I made a last minute decision to go somewhere local for dinner on a busy Friday night. When we walked up we were worried there wouldn't be a seat available for us. They made space for us & took care of us. They even started us off with some tasty appetizers, which were amazing. Our food was fabulous, my husband got the Atomic Pizza which was full of flavour & so yummy. I ordered the Chicken Milano which was cooked perfectly, and the vegetables on the side were all tasty as well and cooked just right. Thanks for a great meal ☺️
Ordered takeout on Friday night; had to wait 10-15m however, I was acknowledged and re-assured that my order would be finished soon. For the time being, I was offered a small glass of wine to enjoy while I waited and was thanked endlessly for my patience.Fantastic service; other restaurants have a thing or two to learn from Matteo's!
It was my first time visiting the restaurant. We were graciously greeted by the owner, and both he and his staff sought to ensure we were comfortable. Food was excellent and was of a high quality. Thanks again for a most excellent evening. I would definitely recommend!
What a wonderful dinner with Mom and my son Adam!! After a morning of gardening and yard cleanup we decided to visit with Mom/Nonna who lives in a retirement home in Welland. She is 94 years old, has dementia and is not very mobile so we don’t get out much with her but Saturday she was fixated on going out for dinner … for pizza of course! My son insisted on wood fired pizza so we wandered into Matteos Ristorante. I’ve been there for lunch on workdays and knew their food was amazing!! Well Mom and Adam and I had a fabulous meal and Mom insisted on ordering a Pizza Bianca with prosciutto to take home with her!! When she opened the box her face lit up and she said ‘remember when I made this for you?’ I couldn’t believe it she remembered that!! Thank you Matteos and especially Susie for making this experience with my Mom feel like the days before her mind left us … I saw a spark of the funny, lively Mom in her eyes especially when she saw the pizzas come to our table!! We will certainly be back again and again with the whole family … but we will be sure to make reservations!! Grazie di Cuore!! Heartfelt thanks!! ❤️???

This place has a personal atmosphere. The service was above and beyond great. Such friendly owner and employees. Our waitress was amazing. And to top off the evening the food was absolutely delicious and fresh. We drove 40 minutes to get there and will do it again without question.
