The Blue Star Restaurant in Welland is one of the areas most established and longest standing eateries in the area. With so many menu items to choose from and excellent quality food and service received on every visit, we would recommend you stop in and say hello to Johnny! They are best known for amazing breakfasts, cabbage rolls, and pies!
Don't let the outside view stop you from entering this restaurant. The inside is what counts. Best cabbage rolls anywhere and you could take out a dozen for $25.
First time eating at this restaurant and I was extremely pleased with the service, prices, and the food was amazing!!! I had the chicken parmesan with penne pasta and sauce and was the best I have ate in a very long time!! Highly recommend eating here if ever visiting here!!!
We went to the Blue Star for dinner yesterday. They have Marvel costumes on display. Just a cool Easter egg for colecters. I got the toco wrap for around 14$. It was big and came with sour cream & salsa on the side. We had good service. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because they don't have milkshakes anymore. Sad. The food was delicious and I would go back. The milkshake thing is probably temporary.
Tonight we went to Blue Star and it was without a doubt the best restaurant experience I've had in my life! All of the staff were incredibly kind and the owner went out of his way to welcome us to Welland. The food was absolutely delicious and portions and prices were right on point. I have officially found my favourite spot of all time!
If you frequent the blue star, you're guaranteed to run into me once in a while because I eat there virtually every week. How could I not give this place five stars. I keep going back. Blue Star Restaurant is it's perfect for me whether it's comfort food or something a little more interesting. It wouldn't be right to leave a review without telling you how much I love their coconut cream pie. Even our Prime Minister loves the coconut cream pie at the Blue Star Restaurant.
My overall experience here wasn't entirely bad, I had the BLT and it was great! My friend got breakfast and her sausages were disgustingly dry. Our server, Jamira, wasn't the best. She sat us at a dirty table, there were dirty napkins shoved in the jam caddy. She was very inattentive towards us, as we had asked for another drink she did not listen she kept walking away. As well as my friend didn't get part of her meal! I'm sorry but that's not okay, there are 4 other tables not including us. I understand it's mother's Day and it's steady. But not overly busy. I am in the food industry myself and this is not okay.
EXCELLENT FOOD!!!! If you haven’t tried this place, you must go now! We will definitely be returning customers. They are so friendly and welcoming at this restaurant. Feels like home.Thank you so much Johnny and Mary-Ann!
OMG OMG OMG!!!!Just moved to Welland and have searched for over 6 months for a “go to” safe and happy “home” for breakfast and more…FOUND IT!!!! And MORE again…I am lost for words, but… the Staff and Service is INCREDIBLE!!!The Food is even BETTER!!!Wholesome, VERY hardy meals at an affordable cost are, nowadays, very hard to find! The portions, related to cost are unfounded!I am so impressed with “EVERYTHING” this place has built and maintained over many, many years, especially over the last 2 years, and is still in business for 1 reason, they are OUTSTANDING!Thank you for being a MAJOR part of our new experience to Welland!Sincere thanx to Johnny & Marianne, WOW!
Came here for breakfast. Had a breakfast club with homefries and my partner had bacon and eggs. Food came out and I found a hair in my plate before even taking a bite. The waitress apologized and had the kitchen make another. Food was good. Service is lacking. No coffee refills while eating and felt like server just didn't care much
