Came here a week ago and got the chicken dosirak. It is so delicious and comes with so much food for only $15. I have already told my UWaterloo friends to come eat here when they have the chance. Will definitely be back when im in the area. :)
Chicken dosirak is my ultimate fave ❤️❤️The chicken is so tender and crispy!! It also comes with everything you need including noodles, sweet potatoes, cucumbers, radish one fried dumpling and an egg! I asked for the egg to be put on the side and they were super accommodating. The tofu soup is warm and hearty.Fast service as well too!Would recommend :)
My favourite korean fried chicken place in Waterloo!? The batter is not not too thick and salty enough without any sauce?? Soooo crispy outside and juicy inside? Their red sauce is perfect between sweet and spicy (their signature), the white sauce is very creamy and savory, the honey butter one taste like the famous honey butter chips, and the new snow chicken is perfect for cheese lovers? The kimbab taste like 천국? Their dosirak have so much things inside I can never finish it? Their bao sandwich is perfect for starters (my fav is the bulgogi bao which has white sauce and eggs that melted in my mouth? the buns are superrr softtt). All food seems to be prepared carefully (all workers use gloves when preparing the food). The service is great! Their 사장님 is super sweet too❤️ Also, 5% discount if you pay with cash!!!!
Their food is incredible!! Always filling, always good portions, and always super flavourful with the delightful Korean spices and sauces!! Their customer service is also outstanding. SkipTheDishes messed up BAD for us literally just tonight and the store was phenomenal. We got calls with updates, they remade our food, gave us extra drinks, and the owner/one of the employees personally drove across town to deliver our meal with more apologies in person. She was very sweet and just as frustrated as we were but was kind and upbeat all the same. I also remember ordering around the Holidays and they even gifted fuzzy socks with little animal faces on them with orders. I still have them!! Either way, this place is 10/10 amazing. Please support this top tier restaurant for the wonderful people that work there!! And maybe you'll find your next favourite take out place like we did!!
Hidden gem with flavourful and delicious Korean fried chicken. The portions were quite decent for the price, and came with 2 mandus and a side. Got the yang yum white chicken and it was crispy and the sauce was creamy and had good flavouring (was a white, garlic and ginger sauce).
Very accommodating and considerate, there were no issues to remove egg or dairy. Everything was super fresh and the tofu was especially delicious ? will be back!

The staff was very friendly, chicken was very crispy and juicy, side dishes were also very good and the sunnyside egg really reminded of 도시락 I used to have in Korea. Would recommend, DEFINITELY coming back again!
My favourite place to get Kimbap ! Excellent and very large with lots of fillings. I like the ddeokbokki and fried chicken too but it is more sweet than spicy .. a little bit more westernized flavour !
The last time I've had such good dosirak is probably years ago and I'm so glad I found Yang Yum.Portion size is decent. Food is good, nicely spiced. Staff is friendly.
amazing little place!! cant wait to go back-update: my heart.... I came back today just after they had closed for the day and they were so sincerely welcoming. Made my night! Wish I could give more than 5 stars thank you guys so much for the gift! so cute and they fit perfect ?can't wait for more kimbap in 2022 ??
