Absolutely fantastic supermarket. They can't beat Walmart for its prices but they have so many, many items that are simply not available elsewhere. A fabulous live seafood section, a fantastic hot food section (you buy what you want based on a standard per 100gm price which is so good cos you can pick a little of everything), and efficient check out. The floor staff don't speak fluent English so it is hard to get help if you need it.
Excellent variety of Asian foods. Superb selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, frozen and fresh fish. Staff is very helpful and polite. Very good selection of live fish. I mostly go here for the live crabs, lobster, Barramundi and Tilapia. They also have fresh(not live) Pomfret and King fish. The selection changes from time to time. Bakery is good too, fresh items and helpful staff. Will try the eat-in restaurant someday, looks good though.
Came here after hearing about it loads as it has all sorts of Asian based products and food items!The market is super clean and well organized. It’s always busy but very well stocked!The only downside is the seafood…. They have loads of seafood selection but I do recommend you take caution if you wish to purchase live seafood.I was in earlier today and noticed a dead lobster in one of the tanks. It was not freshly dead neither as one claw was missing and you could see some of the flesh exposed on its side. Now with shellfish this is a HUGE issue as all those lobsters with the dead one now could be eating the one that is dead. When a lobster dies ammonia spreads through its body and other lobsters eating the dead one now will carry it too. If someone purchases a live lobster that has eaten some of the dead one there is a chance that if not handled properly that lobster could make someone very sick….I just think the seafood area needs to be better managed and maintained as right now most of the tanks are way to crowded and the livestock is not properly cared for… this could lead to people getting sick and you don’t want that!Other than that this is a great store with loads of Asian based foods that you can’t get at your standard grocery store :).
This place has lots of products based on china. It has fresh meats which are not frozen and fresh fish which are alive.
I could spend all day in this store! Great selection and well organized. Prices are very high on some items but most are reasonably priced.
What a fabulous store. The variety of sauces, oils, proteins, drinks, steam buns, bakery items, seasonings, greens, vegetables, is incredible. There is even a ready made meal section that you can put into your own containers. The store is super clean, full of staff to help and keep everything in order. Really impressed... With the selector meats cut and rolled for hot pot feasts.
Worst T&T experience ever. I came in to shop with my husband and 5 year old son. We were stopped by one employee who asked us to wear a mask and we let them know we choose not to. She then asked security to come and talk with us and he told us we have to leave. The security guard brought the manager who asked us to leave if we would not cover our face. My husband continued to be harassed by both security and the manager as he expressed that he would like to be able to shop without being harassed. A customer entered the conversation swearing at my husband and accusing him of being a racist. The manager was stopping my husband from the confrontation while this man kept swearing and the manager never asked him once to stop. I asked the man to stop using foul language in front of my child and this man chose to come towards me in an aggressive manner. What a horrible and terrifying experience this was.I was able to experience a happy environment at another store down the road after this stressful one.
Great to have a T&T locally now but they really decided on a location that is way too small. I understand it was likely chosen for the proximity to the universities but it is poorly organized and crammed. I am shocked public health hasn’t cracked down on them. This is during lockdowns with business restrictions and it is wall to wall people.
Good prices and good variety of products. Can get very busy though, especially on the weekends. They do enforce capacity limits though which you don't always see at grocery stores. Has great fresh fast food on the go too which is a nice option to grab sometimes
We enjoy shopping at T&T.... everything is beautifully laid out and we find its one of the best spots for a variety of fruits and vegetables..also love picking out my own crab, we always get Dungeness at least once a month from here. Staff are also very pleasant and helpful whether in person or on the phone. I've never had a bad experience since they've opened.
