? What an experience I had at "Sweet and Savory".....from the moment I walk in I was greeted with enthusiam and kindness, it was awesome!! The young lady working, I believe her name was Maddie, was quick to welcome me and helped order and suggested some option as well........I walked out of there with two pies ordered!!! ......I only walked in for one little treat...lol....anyways...great place, fantastic pies and amazing staff......Thank you for the warm welcome!! Made my day.
I used to get the lunch special at the old location and missed it. Today at the new Uptown location we got the chicken pot pie and a few small ones to have a taste test for dinner (and leftovers!). Everything was amazing! The Thai chicken was especially surprising with a nice bit of heat and loads of chicken. Flaky crust. So so good. Such a great new location too, friendly staff and easy to get to.
I went here today for the first time and got a small chicken pot pie tonight for dinner. I reheated it in my airfryer , it is honest to goodness, slap your mama, damn delicious chicken pot pie!! I’m going to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow because I had to have one of your amazing pecan butter tarts first. It’s ok to eat dessert first right??
Amazing apple pie and it’s so sweet that they can customize writing to the pies. I opted to not have any artificial flowers but they do have that options.
Their pies and tarts never disappoint.Last night we indulged in the Steak and Kidney pie and the flavour reminded me of the same pie my Nana used to make. Such a treat!
okay, for real, these people were the absolute best thing to happen to me for my birthday, like, absolute f**king legends. anyway, so two years ago all I wanted was to have some pie with my family for my birthday and these guys have the best pie in the city. I left the task to my sister, but she has three kids and they're all basically feral goblins so understandably she forgot and by the time she remembered it was like, a week away (my birthday is in December) and they weren't taking any more orders until after Krampus. fast-forward to like, early November 2021, and I was NOT going to have a repeat of last year, so I called them up to place my order (large lemon raspberry, large chocolate fudge brownie, and some butter tarts) and BAM! COVID STRIKES AGAIN! Turns out the pandemic has made it really difficult to get raspberries, so they had to take raspberry everything off their menu. guys, when I say I was crushed, that's not even close to how I actually felt. one might think, meh, nbd just get a different kind of pie. to which I would respond, I have very little else going on so this was a major event and I was devastated. I placed my order and asked for key lime pie but with a note that if there was any small chance they could do the lemon raspberry I would prefer that, but I understood I was ordering a key lime. I prepaid for my order and went about my life. fast forward about a month and a half. it's my birthday party. I'm with my family, we're eating and drinking and enjoying some jokes, and then it's time for pie. one of my nieces asks what flavours there are and she's told chocolate fudge brownie or lemon raspberry. y'all. I literally screamed 'I thought it was going to be key lime!?' and burst in to tears. scared the ? out of my sister. I could not have been happier or more grateful. I don't know how they made it happen but they did and it has made me smile at least once every day since. the pies were absolutely incredible.
I was waiting for the LRT and decided to pop in here to grab dinner. Tried their tortiere pie and a chocolate brownie tart - both were lovely! The tortiere is very mild and the tart was perfectly chocolatey. Great pastry, too - flaky but not too crispy. Can't wait to try a butter tart next time I hear they're fabulous!
Absolutely delicious! So much choice, so fresh, this is my new go to spot for all pies and holidays
Delicious food, amazing service. I got a family sized apple pie with crumble topping and pumpkin tarts for a family function and it was a hit even with those who don't normally like pie. 10/10 would recommend, I'm definitely coming back soon!!
Both sweet and savory pies are excellent, love this place!
