Went with a friend. Wasn't overly busy but food came slowly. The special rolls were made well, not falling apart when you pick them up, not too small and not too big. Ordered ice cream at the very end but it never came despite waiting over 20 minutes for it.
Our goto for sushi cravings and family special dinners , the green and black dragon rolls are a must and never fail to satisfy, great menu verity. Service is always great and prices are decent. Thank you guys.
Echoing the sentiment shared by some other recent reviews:This used to be a decent place for cheap AYCE sushi. After covid hit, it seems like there's been an entire staff change including chefs and management - the place no longer feels warm and welcoming, but rather a cold, uninviting skeleton of what once was.The place feels unorganized, and just plain dirty, and flagging down a server's attention is incredibly difficult despite the fact that we were one of only 4 parties seated at the time. Servers' attitudes can only be described as flippant.Sushi quality has somehow taken an even further dive from what it once was, and fried foods all taste bland and stale, like the oil hasn't been changed in a while or something.Save your time and money and visit a different sushi joint without numbers in its name (ie. especially not sushi 168).
The worst food ive eaten this year, and possibly ever, has come from this restaurant. Ordered for lunch sesame chicken that was supposed to come with rice, salad and miso soup. The soup was decent, the rice was plain, the salad was non-existent, and in its place was just more sesame chicken. Normally having extra meat would be a great thing, but this smelled burnt and tasted burnt. Just awful. I almost never throw out food, was raised to eat everything, and yet this had to be tossed. I had my mother try some and she spit it out, understandably. Shame on you folks for selling such garbage.
Cannot express how happy I am at this very moment. My belly is so full, staff was very attentive. Thank you so much for the lovely quiet eating setting, intimate and clean.
I really loved this all you can eat sushi restaurant in Waterloo.
Gah... I ordered from Sushi 99 because my regular sushi place is closed on Mondays and I had a craving. The sashimi (salmon) was okay. I was expecting thicker slices, but that's okay. The rolls are rolled poorly, they have too much rice and the portions inside the roll are small.I ordered the beef short ribs... They were horrible. They were super fatty and the sauce they were bathed in was very very greasy. The salad was in the same container as the beef and was soggy and not edible.Overall... I am disappointed with the quality of the meal and would not recommend to eat here, as there are better sushi places around (just not on Mondays).
Imagine finding fabulous Sushi in rural southern Ontario. The menu is appealing and the order for take-out was quickly made. DELICIOUS! Great value for money!
A great place for sushi! We went for a lunch buffet on a weekday... the food and the service was great! Specially the sesame balls were perfect... We can order from a tablet that was provide to us at the table, and the orders arrived quite quickly! Definitely recommended!
Good food, reasonably good service - just a bit pricey for what it is. My family likes it better than I do, and I go for them.
