This restaurant has excellent ambience and is a beautiful setting for an exquisite meal. We both had salmon which was served with squash and beets. It was really very good. We followed up with dessert: I had the chocolate chunk and caramel cheesecake, and my friend had the creme caramel. Both desserts were excellent. Portion size was perfect, which is often not the case.I highly recommend this restaurant for any meal.

We took my mom for dinner yesterday for her birthday and were very happy with the great food and atmosphere. The staff were lovely! Would highly recommend!

service and food is absolutely wonderful

A very nice spot in the heart of Waterloo. Amazing ambiance. The service is great and the food is mouthwatering! We had the chicken, the potato lasagna, the penne carbonara, and a pizza - all of them were perfect! The desserts here are at a different level, we tried the triple white chocolate cake, a raspberry cheese cake like and the lemon meringue, and they were also perfect! Highly recommended.

We had not been to Solé for many years. I was often a favourite for business lunches and dinners and had always provided a quality experience. Sadly our latest visit was not up to the standard we had previously experienced. Two of our group found the 'special soup' lukewarm. This was after the fact we were told that a new batch was being warmed up if we were willing to wait. Sadly, they didn't wait long enough before serving it - maybe because they had brought our partners' starters. It is difficult to understand how a restaurant can miscalculate so much that hot servings of the special soup had been used up before 6pm. The two of us who had the prime rib special found that the accompanying mashed potato and veggies were almost cold, though they had been slightly warmed by the sauce. My friend was provided a new serving, but I continued. Prime rib is difficult to ensure how it is until after being cooked, but mine had several strips of gristle in it which made it more difficult to enjoy. Pity.

I wanted to try the schnitzel but they were out, so I've got the carbonara and the grilled shrimp. I've liked the plate ngl.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and were not dissapointed. The place is really nice and cozy. The service was fast and good. There were not too many people dining either. We ordered soup of the day and scallops as appetizer. The soup was a potato, fennel, sausage and manchego cheese. Delicious! The scallops were amazing, so so good and tasty and the sauce was out of this world!! We got some slices of bread and butter on the house. For main I ordered the hemp crusted salmon. The fish and the sweet potato puree was very good and cooked to perfection. The dish came w half a beet which was cold. I did call the server and asked her if it was supposed to be served cold and she said room temp. She did offer to take it back and throw it in a pan but I declined since I knew I was not gonna eat it all anyway. Hubby got penne carbonara which was really good. For dessert we had a creme brule and a chocolate cake and they surprised us with a "happy anniv" in itWe need to be back to try other dishes for sure and can't wait for the summer to go and try the patio too.

A great experience! They went out of their way to accommodate us. The service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and inventive. Atmosphere is beautifully rustic and Mediterranean. So glad we chose Sole for one of our two dinners in the area.

I've been here before but it's been years and today everything tasted phenomenal except the steak dish it was just so plain and I needed to ask for salt and pepper to eat it, but the presentation was great. As for the rest of the food we were thrilled, we ordered the scallops with double smoked bacon and mushrooms we even asked for more bread to dip into the sauce because it was that delicious. Everything else was also divine but that was our favorite. Even desserts were amazing had the right consistency for the creme brule and the pear and ginger Gelato was amazing! Differently coming back here because of the food and great service!

I met up with a friend for lunch that was long overdue! We chose to dine on the patio because the weather was so nice. We found out that it was the last day for the patio to be open. We definitely lucked out. Kelly was our server and she treated us like royalty! She was Very kind, attentive and answered our questions regarding our dietary restrictions confidently. She even went above and beyond Offering us blankets and cushions to help us stay warm and comfortable . We started off with the mussels as an appetizer, and the chef accommodated our request to have them split into 2 separate bowls. The bread that we were told is made at the restaurant, was to die for. We asked for seconds.Me and my friend both ordered the lobster and tiger shrimp roll. It was very tasty, but we both thought the bun was too much and only ate half of the bun. All in all we had a wonderful lunch, we didn’t feel rushed or ignored. We look forward to returning in the near future.
