Visited recently on recommendation from a friend. Wow what amazing food! Best mutton and chicken biryani that we had after we left India couple of months ago. True and authentic Hyderabadi Dum Mutton/Chicken biryani. The spice level was medium, just the right balance of taste and flavour. The tiffins are also scrumptious. Had Idly and Wada.I am elated to find Hyderabadi/Telugu food near to me. Met the owner Muralidhar Reddy, such a nice and polite gentleman. This is the original home cooked food in any Telugu kitchen. Will be back on regular basis. Really delighted to find such amazing Telugu food so close to me.
Food are pretty cheap here. However, there is barely any meat in biryanis. Most of the pieces were bones with tiniest amount of meat on them. It's a wonder, how come they found such tiny pieces of meat in Canada? I would say taste is quite good... I would rather pay extra to have better quality of food. I hope they would give options to customers who want to enjoy the food, not only be on budget. They have good potential tastewise
My first order today from this place, the chicken biryani was so perfectly cooked, rice so light and fluffy and chicken wasn't dry, it was perfect. I had biryani before from other places and sometimes their rice needed to be cook more! but here omg first bite and I was in heaven! Just wish a little less heat for the biryani though. I love spicy and medium hot.Mango lassi has the right thickness and sweetness and it does taste mango!I will definitely order again from this place!
Bring a foodie I miss Indian food sometimes but food from this restaurant relieves us from that feeling. Occasionally, I ordered different items like dosa, vada, biryani, etc.and every item is at it's best taste, out of everything the Biryani is amazing ? it is hot, spicy(as needed) and fresh. I would definitely recommend the food here and there is no doubt in saying that it's the best Indian restaurant in Waterloo. Cheers!
We order biryani twice a week for delivery and it’s the best and authentic chicken biryani from the Telugu states !Today we had idly, vada and 3 varieties of dosas that were just yummy ! Definitely reminds of home food and truly authentic Telugu food. A MUST place for any one who’s looking for Telugu food
Me being a customer to this restaurant since 2018 is Worth filing for my love towards biryani. Since couple of times I’m not at all satisfied with the biryani they are serving I was literally dumped all my food just had 2 spoons of biryani rice and it was totally zero taste and I couldn’t eat all of it, we got the only Hyderabadi restaurant in Waterloo is yours so I would request the management to consider this review and fulfil the customer needs. Thank you.
Having a great biriyani after a long time. A bit spicy but great taste. I had ordered Chicken and Mutton biriyani. Both were good. Will definitely recommend.
One of the best restaurants for Hyderabadi food in and around KWC. The biryani in particular is authentic Hyderabadi dum biryani that you wont find in a lot of places in Canada, and I would definitely rate their biryani top 5 I have ever tasted.I wish they had longer hours and more options in the menu to try out. A must visit for all Indian and particularly Hyderabadi food lovers.
I honestly don't understand most of these reviews. I tried their mutton dum biryani based on the reviews here and I can't describe how terrible it was. First, it isn't biryani. It is just plain basmati rice with some spices. If you were expecting me to say it is rice with meat, then here is point number two. I ordered two boxes, and one box literally had no piece of meat in it! Not one piece. The other box had a few very small pieces of mutton. That's it. So, no... it's not biryani, just some plain basmati rice with some spices. I say some spices, because point number three is that other than a little bit of powdered spice, there was barely any onions, no chilies, no garlic, nothing. Just seemed like some pre-prepared biryani mix was sprinkled on top. Point number four, each little box cost me $16 LOL I don't even know what to say... I paid $32 for two boxes of basmati rice!!! I will NEVER be going back to Shiri's kitchen again. Then the icing on the cake of it all, when I went to pick up the order, the person serving me was on the phone the whole time. They didn't bother to acknowledge me when I entered, or even say goodbye, or anything, after I paid. They just walked away ....Maybe the rest of their menu is fine, but do not go here for biryani.
Consistent taste every time. Best biryani in KW. Only downside is they're open only few days in a week.
