This is an antojito, apparently. It was shredded marble cheese wrapped in a tortilla with melted shredded marble cheese on top.We also got the pulled pork quesadilla, that was supposed to have onion, pepper, and cheese. After intense scrutiny and surgery we managed to find the pepper (pictured), but the onion and cheese were completely absent.Neither were aware of the concept of heat.
Enjoyed the patio seating and our server was kind and relatively attentive. However, it may be best to keep your expectations low when it comes to the food, which was mediocre at best. The onion rings appetizer was fine. The seafood linguine was made with spaghetti (which is apparently what they always use), in a weak red sauce, and served with a chewy sliver of garlic bread. For some reason, the noodles were broken into small pieces. The Maui burger with grilled pineapple came with a wafer-thin slice of pineapple that basically tasted raw (I wonder if it was sliced from a grilled pineapple, instead of being sliced and then grilled), and the patty was a bit like a rubber puck.Entrees ranged from ~$15-25. Burger was $16, with additional $2-3 to upgrade the side. Appetizers were ~$10.Beertown next door is often busier, and this isn't too surprising. If you're interested in the same kind of fare as in this review, then come to Piper with your expectations tempered, and it can be enjoyable nonetheless.
Daniella was our server today and she was THE best server.. she made us feel comfortable and was soo fun... You will enjoy your time there. It is a great place... the music, the food everything was just amazing... made our night
Hands down the worst food I have ever had in the region.Soggy cold fries.Wings that looked nothing like the menu, and clearly were cooked from frozen because of the weird burn marks on one size. None of the wings were crispy making me think they were just thrown in a microwave or reheated. Not fried. The Mac and cheese poutine was just cheap pasta missing a ton of cheese (literally could have called it a full Mac half cheese poutine)I ended up paying $46 for that.I'd have paid half by buying the same ingredients from the frozen section at the nearest supermarket. At least I could have cooked it properly then. Will never return, and not interested in a refund. Worth the $46 to know to never get food from there again.
Great place and great food! Only thing that could have made it better was our server, Ambrose! He provided excellent service in a timely manner. I would definitely come back. Most kind and attentive server. Thank you for everything! Beyond grateful!
My wife took me out for lunch today on a beautiful sunny st Patty's Day I ordered the Buffalo ranch chicken wrap with onion rings, and my wife had Cajun chicken wrap with onion rings.Onion rings were super tasty but my buffalo chicken wrap on the other hand was not to be desired. My first couple of bits I noticed a very small amount of sauce and no detection of ranch. The server took it back and they remade it which was nice of her to do so. It came back with LOTS more sauce. There was very little chicken and even less tomatoes the wrap was mostly lettuce. And they finished it on the grill which gave the wrap a taste of gas from the grill. After telling all this to the server they took it off my bill which again was super nice !!But for such a basic wrap the ratios make this dish less than desirable.
We had a bad experience at Pipers regarding the bill and menu prices. The prices they charged us were higher from what they showed in their online value specials.Veg spring rolls for 9 dollars instead of 4.5?!? Calamari for 9 dollars instead of 6.5? Lord of the rings charged as 9 dollars instead of 5.5?
First time ever at piperarms and I might never go back. They have way too many foods on the menu but the quality is not the best. why not reduce the options and increase the quality? Our waitress was extremely nice but she was not attentive at all, we had to wait for her for so long to come to our table. We ordered coconut shrimps, they tasted alright but they gave us only 5 shrimps, like what? the portion was very small. Me and my friend ordered burgers and they were extremely dry and very hard to chew on, the fries were sweet and no they were not sweet potato fries. my other friend ordered Shrimp Fajitas and there was only 4-5 shrimps in total and the tortillas were slimy and soggy. Overall not the best experience. they have a great location and its so sad their food quality is this bad. hoping to see improvement!!
I'd definitely recommend this place for dine-in and take-out!!! They were clearly understaffed but the service and the food was great nonetheless! Our waiter was kind, attentive and helpful. He suggested the steak quesadilla and he was spot on, definitely a win. Mondays they have 1/2 price appetizer, so we ordered a bunch and shared. The size of apps were definitely very filling and almost a full meal. We also ordered coconut shrimp, sweet chilli chicken, deep fried caulliflower, antijitos, and butter chicken wontons. For drinks we got the Singapore Sling and Whiskey Sour.
Disappointing 1st experience. Decided on take out and wanted to give a nearby pub a try.Unfortunately the jambalaya that was ordered came with pasta substituted for rice and no one contacted us to make sure it would be ok (it wasn't), and the steak and mushroom pie was seriously over-salted and contained dry, crunchy beef pieces.Unlikely we will try again with so many other great options in town.
