I love this restaurant. Having eaten in Greece, I find that their food is a true reflection of Greek cuisine. I have dined here many times and I have never been disappointed. The prices are reasonable, portions are large and everything is so tasty!

Mediterranean is hands down the BEST Greek food in the region!The food is always hot, fresh, and generously portioned.. oh and DELICIOUS!!The staff are friendly and welcoming.We LOVE Mediterranean. You HAVE to try them out!!
Stopped in today for lunch for the first time in many years since we hadn't been up here. Wasn't disappointed. Our gyros and chicken soulvaki were all good. Our server was friendly, attentinve, didin't auction off the food and checked back. Prices are not bad, and overall, another really good meal.
The atmosphere was inviting the food full of flavour And just the right amount for a lunch. prices were amazing and the young waitress I had made you feel welcome and like family one of the best restaurants experiences I’ve had in a while
First time here and we had a Greek coffee, and chicken souvlaki dinner! Great portion, not too much rice (just the right amount) and potatoes were quite delicious. Everything was quite flavourful including the Greek salad. The chicken was very juicy, not hard and slides off the skewer easily. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a Greek restaurant in Waterloo! Lastly, the service was great and our waitress checked up on us a few times to make our visit pleasant!
We’ve been coming to the Mediterraneo restaurant for years because I think it’s one of the best Greek comfort foods in our tri-city area.The restaurant is close to the University Avenue East off ramp, from Highway 85, located in the University Downs Shopping Centre Plaza. Parking is plentiful and free. Once inside you’re met with authentic Greek music and warm greetings from all the staff. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated in the Greek culture.My family and I ordered spanakopita – OMG so delicious, calamari – perfectly cooked and not rubbery like some places who fry it beyond recognition, the meats in the gyro plate, pork souvlaki, and lamb stew were so tender and well seasoned – absolutely delicious and the veggie moussaka was out of this world! Our server, Samira, was fantastic and the kitchen staff did an incredible job preparing a very tasty feast for my family!Needless to say, if you ever feel like having Greek food, this is the place to come! We will definitely be returning.
Always such a treat to come here! The staff are so kind, food was nice and hot upon pickup and the little smiley face was a pleasant touch. I really appreciated staff using my name (As indicated on the bag of food I had ordered). I don't see that very often and it made the interaction even more positive.As usual, food was DELICIOUS. I had the chicken souvlaki dinner and baklava. The chicken was tender, potatoes so lemony and delicious, and the rice was very flavourful. The baklava is to die for, it's become a "must have" when I order!Looking forward to coming back again. ?
I've always loved the food at Mediterraneo, so I was excited to break our Covid pattern of eating at home. Unfortunately, our experience this time was just a drag, and quite infuriating. An hour after we arrived we were still sitting there staring at our glasses of water and the remains of a starter plate of tzatziki while people who arrived as much as 45 minutes after us were having main courses delivered to them. Our server, when we meekly protested the long wait, apologized for the slow service, but it really felt like someone had dropped the ball in the kitchen or the server had just forgotten us. We decided to leave, and on the way out saw a massive number of takeout orders ready for pickup. They need to get themselves organized, with adequate staff and someone to oversee the efficiency of the kitchen.
We had a Souvlaki dish that, for whatever reason, was extremely salty on delivery. When we called to complain, the owner returned our call and offered us to replace the meal the next time we were in. True to his word, he did. Very impressed. It should also be mentioned that we have eaten there in the past and the food has always been superb
