I bought a pulled pork poutine, best poutine I've ever had! However it took 15-20 minutes to recieve my food which was 1/2 - 2/3 of my lunch break! I'd love to eat here every day, but the time it takes is the only reason why I can't return during my work schedule.
I've driven by this place for years and never stopped in. So glad we did today. Great food. Quality and quantity is worth the price. We ordered the poutine with Gyro and Bacon. Amazing.
Heard good things about this place but was disappointed. First time there, only customer, took a minute to look at the menu and the staff were basically angry I didn't instantly order. Burgers were ok at best. Onion rings were so greasy they soaked through the bag. Wouldn't go back.
Absolutely nothing negative to say about Johnny's. Been coming here for years, no one makes a better chicken gravy poutine.
Chicken pita with Greek style salad was excellent. The items were fresh and crispy even with a delay eating because it took time to have it brought to work, was all fresh. Thank you!
I can't stress this enough, everything tasted so bland with my meal today. I ordered Bombastic Poutine and it was just very bland, especially the fries and gravy (which was too thick and not enough of). The pulled pork grilled cheese tasted more like tuna. I don't mean to bash, but I was very underwhelmed and I feel justified for leaving this review. I've definitely had worse from other places. At least everyone was nice and the food was warm
Been here a couple of times now, and been very impressed with the food quality and price. The pitas are stuffed full and delicious, and the poutines are top notch. For any restaurant to get 4.5 stars despite numerous people with rocks for brains giving 1 stars because they have nothing better to do, tells you all you need to know. This place isn’t the ritz, but if you can find a better bang for your buck, let me know, because I haven’t found it yet!
Big portions for a very good price! Delicious pitas, very fresh. Though I usually use UberEats, the one time I did actually go into the restaurant, the staff was incredibly friendly and kind! And they have never messed up an order, not once. Poutine is a personal favorite, along with a chicken ceasar pita! So full of chicken and lettuce, makes for at least 2 meals for me. Go here!
Food is consistently great. It's sad to see bad reviews on here because the staff wasn't their best friend or possibly a lack of a mask (if you're that afraid, why are you even eating out!?)...haven't local businesses and especially restaurants been through enough lately?! If you want great tasting food for a reasonable price, definitely give this place a try!
Has to be one of the best resturaunts in Waterloo. Their Pulled Pork Grilled cheese and House Made fries and to die for. You can't compare this to any other fast food out there for the price. And the fact they make your food right there and the moment you order it is just a small part of the magic they create.
