Food is absolutely not clean and fresh!!! We went there yesterday and we saw a cockroach chilling on a customer table. In addition, we saw at least three cockroaches walking in the sink when we went to pay the bill!!! Can’t imagine that!!! In my perspective, I think food quality and safety are much higher than price and the fake decorations. Absolutely won’t go there anymore. Don’t go there
Decent food and prices. I don’t really recommend their noodles but their curry dishes are okay! Great place for large gatherings.Check out my IG page @kellychows for more! ?
Decent sushi at a good price. Was happy with my order and the service.
I love coming to Foodie Fruitie. The prices and food are so worth the drive. I love the cheese wontons, scallops, torched sushi, soups and rice bowls. I've been so many times and still haven't tried everything yet.
I used to come here. After today, I don't think I will. The service was horrible. After we were seated, we waited for 1 hour and weren't brought water 3 or acknowledged while they continued to seat and take orders for many people that arrived after us. I get that today was Valentine's day and it's busy, but it was evident that the waiters were purposefully ignoring us in that we made eye contact multiple times and they rudely ignored us to the point where we were wondering if we had done something wrong. We ended up leaving and went to Kabob Shack where the service was lovely and we were finally able to rehydrate <3
I ordered on Fantuan requesting to have no peanuts in the food at all which includes PEANUT OIL ( the Resturant failed to recognize this) I was puking all night because of the peanut oil used and requested a refund because they gave me the wrong order but they declined it as they said they didn’t put peanuts inside but my peanut allergy was triggered. NEVER BUYING FROM HERE AGAIN. Doesn’t respect your allergies.
I have visited twice:The curry pork cutlet rice is good, but the batter does not stick well to the cutlet. The teriyaki chicken doesn't seem to have the soy saucey and sweet taste of teriyaki. The oyakodon (take out) had egg shells in it.The ramen is good. They provide half of a hard-boiled soy egg and some wood ear mushrooms.Overall good value for portion size and convenient place to dine, but dishes are okay-ish. The lemon water is nice.
A few weeks ago, we went out for a meal to celebrate hitting 1k on EatInOntario ~ We chose to try some Japanese food cause it's been a while since we've had it. Foodie Fruitie is definitely a hidden gem near campus! From their wide assortment of pan-fusion Asian cuisine to their reasonably priced menu, Foodie Fruitie is definitely a must-visit if you're ever in the mood for a late night snack or a yummy meal off-campus! We ordered some takoyaki (Japanese Style Octopus Ball) along with chicken teriyaki skewers~ For our main dishes we ordered some spicy chicken donburi along with a chicken teriyaki bento. Overall, the food was absolutely amazing! Our favourite dish was the takoyaki, it was made to perfection with its crunchy shell and creamy octopus filling~If you're ever looking for a casual place, to dine with friends that's not too expensive but still has amazing food with good portions, do check out Foodie Fruitie 原味 !To hear about this review, follow us @eatinontario on Instagram and Facebook.
Always good food and great value. Nothing is spectacular but in the end you get a tasty meal at a very good price. Not accepting credit cards is a bit of a miss but they do take debit in case you don't bring cash.. but cash will get you a nice discount, so best to bring some.
A very wide selection of food and drink options. Ample seating. Covered parking in the 203 Lester basement.
