Have been going to this place forever. Usually I’ve had amazing service and no problems. Tonight was a different story altogether. Jill was our server and we ordered 2 starters and 5 drinks total between 4 people. 2/4 people came earlier, and she waited until all 4 were there to even approach our table. Came up and asked for our drinks then took off. When she came back she took our order and walked off, didn’t allow for us to place our orders for mains. We were waiting for a good while as she stood and flirted with another table and was very friendly with them. Did not see her the rest of the night until we asked for our bill, she messed up one of the orders. We decided not to order mains because of the bad and unfriendly service. If I wanted aritzia service I’d go there not Ethel’s which is usually reliable and friendly
Ethel's has a lot to love. Great outdoor space, great energy, nice and cozy inside also.Nice variety of beers and something new to try with every visit if you are feeling adventurous.The food is, comforting. Not spectacular and not bad.
Great social spot. Food is sometimes hit or miss but mostly hit. If you haven't been it's worth trying out. Good patio spot in the summer.
Good food, great service, cold drinks. This is a neat little place with eclectic decor and looks like it would be a great hangout. My food was good, I wish I had tried the coleslaw though.
A long standing pub/restaurant. Very casual and friendly atmosphere. Good service and good pub food. Their famous Wednesday wings are baked and very delicious. My hubby has been a regular there for years. Good place to get together at the end of the day for a drink or something to eat.
There used to be a vegan option and now all that is available is hummus and pita/veggies. They reduced their menu after COVID - to be fair. But if all things to cut out the one proper vegan option doesn’t seem like quite the choice.
Great drinks! A bit loud but lovely social atmosphere.
