My boyfriend and I went in to the store. He made a bet that we wouldn't go "five seconds without finding mould." As soon as we walked in, there it was, the table of mouldy strawberries. We continued to the back and saw the hummus that was mouldy and hardly refrigerated. We brought the mouldy hummus to one of the employees who literally could not care any less. He took the hummus out of our hands and didn't say anything. Terrible quality food. Terrible service.

went to this location as i was in the area but was a bit disappointed. their selection at this store is smaller than their sportsworld kitchener location and many of their shelves were empty. inside the store wasn’t very well kept and seemed a bit unorganized. besides that, they had great deals available that you can view from home on their website before you visit! the employee working there was also nice, greeting us and saying goodbye

Came here today for the first time and was shocked at the low prices. I came home, cooked my lean ground beef and was instantly grossed out, puddles of grease/fat.I looked online and instantly regretted purchasing anything from here... There's actually a whole Reddit thread of how terribly the owner treats his employees, the disgusting way he handles the food.Regardless of price, I could never shop here again strictly from a moral standpoint.

Don't recommend getting the berries when you think you're getting a good deal. Unless you plan to eat or freeze them the same day, they will be rotten by the next day. Very disappointed in that. The meat is still a good deal except the schnitzel which has reduced in size and the price is now 8/$10.This place is slowly going downhill. Miss the days of how it use to be when they first opened.

The sirloin tip steaks AA grade or better we purchased for a dinner were too tough to eat. Ended up having a pizza party as dinner steaks had to be ground up the next day for shepherds pie. The tough steaks became the focus of dinner conversation between 4 families. Others had experienced the same. Never again will I shop in their store.

Food is definitely not fresh, I bought bread and strawberries and they were both moldy the next morning. On top of that, I could see the owner of the business being incredibly rude and unprofessional to a staff member that was clearly trying their best. Will never shop here again.

Very valuable place for groceries but you need to cook them soon or they will go bad soon~ staff was really nice and they have tulips sold here from time to time~ oh they have very cheap berries basically all the time but be sure check the conditions of the berries or you would get a half-rotten box. Well picking out the best box is also a fun activity for me

This store is good for its super low price for vegetables and fruits on sale. However, you did need to pick up the good quality ones by yourself. As some other mentioned, the sale item may not be very fresh. However, the quality is quite acceptable for the price. I have been known this store for years. Sometimes, I felt guilty to only buy those sale items, because the store will bankrupt if everyone only buys the sale items. The store owner must be very difficult to run the store now. There are Costco and Walmart nearby. The price cannot be higher than theirs. Otherwise, the customers won’t buy yours. If the price is lower than theirs, it is hard to earn any money. I have been known this store for years and wondered how the store can still survive with such low prices. Today, I happened to read some one-star reviews of this store. Low paid staff and no payment to suppliers were mentioned. I guess the business is not running well now.As a customer, I don’t want to see the store disappeared in future. I have some ideas, just for your reference, not sure if they are correct.(1) You can sell membership like Costco. Sale price is only for members. Normal customer can only buy at the same price of other grocery stores. When customers saw the difference between the sale price and normal price, they are more eager to buy. The store needs a fixed customer base. Membership will help it. A 20$/year fee will be acceptable by most peoples.(2) On Saturday evening, you can add some limits on those super sale. For example, a minimum 15$ other purchases is required to get the super deal, like a dozen cucumber for 2$.(3) The inventory of vegetables and fruits should be based on statistics. They are perishable, too much inventory will generate loss.

This place used to be unreal, the best deals and fresh meat. I brought home a bag of Brussel sprouts from here a week ago and noticed shortly after there were live green little WORMS inside the bag. Safe so say I will never shop here again.

Boardwalk store only!!I will never come back to this store. It's not clean, all the lights look to be broken, nothing looks fresh. This store seems to be getting the raw end of the deal as the other locations are looked after and kept up. The worst part of this store again boardwalk location is the awful smell as you enter.I have an will continue to shop at dutchies, but this location is absolutely awful.
