Great atmosphere and service. My wife had fish tacos and has been throwing up all night. I had a lamb burger that I could not taste due to the overpowering number and strength of all the toppings. Not worth the price.
We went to Beertown on Sunday for lunch. It’s was not very busy, maybe 1/4 full. After being seated, we waited for more 15 minutes and NO ONE came to our table. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the table behind us was seated 10 minutes in and their server came to their table to take drink order. We left. On the way out, we mentioned why we were leaving. The hostess said, “okay.” Incredible. We were regular customers but no longer. This was just the culmination of declining service at the restaurant.
Food was good although a bit cold, I think it was sitting for awhile before it was brought to us. Waitress was very nice and friendly, but service was slow. Will be back!
We met for a reunion of sorts over lunch and loved every minute of it. Thank You Phil. You are a great server and Life in the Clouds is my new favorite IPA. Thanks for the recommendation.
Great place lots of craft beer and great food
What an amazing restaurant. Great choice of beers and food was delicious. Although it was Canada day and Saturday night the service was fast and our waiter Philip was super . I would highly recommend this restaurant. Ambience was great , clean and you cannot go wrong here
I have been here a few times and the same thing has happened each time. The first time I thought it was an error/omission but now I see it as a pattern. Here is what hapens: you order a beer from the menu and it arrives in a smaller-than-expected glass: they look like 12 or 14 oz but you're paying 16 oz prices ($8.30 + HST). They don't list volumes or prices on their online menu (which in my view is unethical). The manager just says "we use the glasses supplied by the brewery" but can't actually say what the volume of the glass is! The food is fancy pub style, but IMO way too salty. On the plus side, their patio is a good place to people watch in the Waterloo Town Square.
Good menu overall could have more vegetarian options. Loud and busy if you want a quieter place. Beer on tap is great, lengthy list of craft beer as well.
We ended up at Beertown one night, the reservation process was simple and the waiting times were long. We had Asian Salmon Bowl and Southern Fried Chicken. The bowl was flavourful and delicious. The chicken was tender and the portion sizes generous. I swapped fries for truffle parm fries and they were fantastic. For dessert we got sticky toffee pudding but it had way too much cinnamon in it, we told that to the staff and they comped it even though I insisted on paying. Good place, good vibes and reservations highly recommended
Love that Beertown sends you a text when your table is ready instead of having people wait in line. Staff was attentive and fast even when the restaurant was packed. They have lots of plant based and gluten free options. It was amazing that they had a separate menu got those options so that I didn't have to wade through the whole menu. Their cocktails are great too!
