Baba Grill is a decent spot for Chinese take out. Their food is sometimes hot and sometimes cold and their service is also a hit or miss. I agree with other reviews on how the portions depend on who is serving or packing your food. Their baba chicken tastes amazing but sometimes is too hard and chewy. The noodles in the picture were okay and the broccoli needed to be cooked more. All in all, Baba Grill is simple takeout spot at the plaza that serves quick Chinese takeout
Expensive americanized chinese food that didn't taste exceptionally good. Has a history of health inspection infractions.

The food here is great if you're looking for Americanized Chinese food. It's tasty and fulfills the craving I get for it.The service is really hit or miss. There's a woman who works here who I see often who is incredibly kind and generous with portions. There's also a guy who works here who is very standoffish and gives SIGNIFICANTLY less portions than the woman. The woman is also much, much more careful in packing the food, while sometimes when the man packs the food it ends up spilling out of the edges. Ultimately, the quality of the food you're going to get is really dependent on who is serving you, so I guess just keep that in mind when you enter.
I have been going here for almost once week for 10 years. Started with Panda King and now BaBa Grill. They have had great food, portions and price…. Unfortunately things don’t last forever. Food is still very good. The fish is fantastic. Spicy chicken my second choice. Fried rice isn’t bad and not always hot, I just wish it was fresh everyday without adding any corn. Lol.The problem now is portion and price. Depending on who is serving will depend on how little or packed your container is.The price has gone up 3 times in a year.The owner we don’t see Friday at lunch anymore, so I can’t ask why. Covid I am sure will be the reason. Cook doesn’t really speak English at all, also unfortunate. I know of others who have stopped going due to price alone. Better value on other lunch menus in the plaza.Overall I am enjoying this cafe style Chinese restaurant. I will go at least once a week, for now. Go easy on those prices!!
We had good service , they explained the sauces well for us. Good size for the money and yummy!!
Waste of time. Came back for the first time in over a year since the pandemic forced me back home out of Waterloo. Disappointed to see the poor service hasn't changed, and they still force you to use debit or cash when the majority of people in the area use mainly credit.

The worst takeout food in Waterloo. I threw it out,close to unedable.
