Good local place. Large portions at a fair reasonable price. Friendly staff & very clean.I'll be back..now that I found this place.
Came here with a Groupon. It includes 2 corn beef sandwiches and a side of fries with a bottle of vintage wine(white). Also ordered 1 lb of wings with honey garlic sauce tossed on. The corn beef sandwiches are great! Fries is golden, hot and crispy! The wings, however, not so great, unfortunately. It was dry and hard. But, overall, I love it. Thanks for letting me try something new. (First time trying corn beef, just fantastic!)
Outstanding experience...great food, very friendly service. They make an amazing corned beef burger, like none other, we'll definitely be back again!
Went for lunch with a colleague. Used a groupon for smoked meat sandwich, fries and a beverage. Sandwich was great, choice of bread and mustard. Huge amount of hand cut fries which were not greasy. Pickle to round off the smoked meat and mustard. Service was great and friendly. Recommend for lunch/dinner with fun decor. We will return again!
Giving two stars only because the restaurant was decorated really nicely with a whole bunch of decor. But I went in only for the a kawartha milkshake, the woman making it didn’t wash her hands or wear gloves as she shoved her hands into the tub while scooping, and she really seemed to struggle with it, which is why I’m assuming she didn’t add a second scoop (which clearly could’ve fit in the cup) and subbed it with wayyy too much milk instead. The worker in the kitchen wasn’t wearing gloves OR a mask! I mean, come on! There’s a whole pandemic out here and you guys can’t even wear gloves which would be the standard no matter what. Couldn’t taste any ice cream in my milkshake as it was mainly just milk. Super disappointed.
Just ordered for the first time with Uber Eats. The veggie burger was DELICIOUS!! Tuna sandwich was also very good. I am now a customer :)
Had the Classic platter and ordered takeout. The rye bread was really thickly sliced (so I guess it depends if you like it like that). Comes with 3 different types of mustard. Liked the olives and slaw that came with it. The service was quick and friendly.
First, the good news. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich was fantastic, as were the fresh cut fries. My wife loved the schnitzel sandwich.Second, the bad news. Covid precautions were negative. Asked for a straw, waiter came back with a bare straw in his hands. FAIL! Then we saw him scooping ice cream and touching the scoop with his bare hands. FAIL!
This is a delicious place! All the meat is done to perfection exactly like it should be. If you love deli I would highly recommend this place.
This was a terrible experience. Order came out wrong. When asked about it they advised that the order was made and if we accept it, it would be appreciated. I thought nothing of it (even though it is not what I wanted).Now the bill comes and I see the item that was brought out (which was more expensive and what we did not want). I ask the server and get flustered confusing remarks. Paid the bill with 15% tip cuz that’s what’s acceptable, even though the service was beneath satisfactory.Very disappointed!
