70% of the mango is unripe, can’t chew, tastes bland. Upsetting that the server looked annoyed and told me everyone eats it like that. Sometimes it’s never ripe she says. On the second mention, she grabs it and takes it in the kitchen to come out with a new one but commenting how that’s how their mango salads are. The ends were green… we had to spit them out. NO. My poor daughter was forcing it down until I stopped her. Then suddenly I smell rotten garbage. I love Durian so familiar with strong scents but that was awful smell, I almost threw up. Ran out the restaurant as soon as I paid the bills.
Came here cause I was in the mood for Pho and this restaurant had high reviews.I ordered their chicken noodle soup. Unfortunately, the soup was not flavorful. It just tasted like boiling water, chicken, and noodles. The chicken also had an off-putting smell. Thankfully, the chili sauce I asked on the side helped a bit.The waitress was nice, but didn't seem to understand my questions regarding some of the menu items.I do plan to come here again and try one of their popular items. I'd like to give this place another shot and change my review!
If you're looking for some decent pho, this place was good. It wasn't mind-blowing but it wasn't flavourless. The noodles weren't amazing either but if you're in a crunch and want something fast, this place is a good option. I liked that they had three sizes instead of the usual two for pho as well. They had a lot on their menu and since I only went for pho, I can't say much else, but the spot seemed rather popular. The prices weren't bad either, very affordable, all things considered.
Pho Bistro is one of my favourite restaurants! The food is delicious, the portions generous, the seating comfortable, and the service quick and friendly. For a vegetarian like me, there are many dishes to choose from (most of the dishes on the menu are meat-based). The perfect restaurant!
I have been coming to Pho Bistro for many years. I take great pride in recommending restaurants to my friends and family. I have never taken anyone to Bistro and heard a complaint. Their Pho Bistro special is phenomenal. Their customer service is exceptionally friendly regardless if you are a new customer or a returning customer. They even gave me one of their ochirds to take home. 10/10 would recommend.
Went on Thurs. Dec. 30th. Ordered House Special Pho Noodles, small size and fried rolls with taro, pork etc. for lunch. The noodles were ok but not enough variety of items were in the soup noodle as said on the menu. I only recalled eating half a beefball and a piece of tendon and the rest were beef flank and brisket. There was no tripe or more beefball. The soup base was ok but overall not too satisfying. The fried spring rolls were excellent and well done.I found the Pho soup noodle to be really overpriced as there wasn’t much given for something that was charged for $13!! The basil, lime and beansprout they gave me on the dish did not have good basil; I asked for a better dish and they came back with a second one.
Pho Bistro is just does not offer only Vietnamese food but also has a section for Chinese and Thai food.Tonight we opted to order a few dishes from the Vietnamese menu. We decided to go for the large bowl of Pho to share. Lots of noodles and beef along with tripe and beef balls … a good size for two people. It was good but the broth was tasty not hot enough. We asked for hot broth and it was the same … just came out warm. The Lemon Grass Pork with Vermicelli looked amazing. The lemon grass pork was tasty but we there was not enough noodles in comparison to the generous portions of meat. The service here was very pleasant. They are located in a plaza at 100 Steeles Ave West. There is lots of space for parking.
