We noticed this restaurant awhile ago and since the reviews were positive we decided to try it. We got there around 6 on a Monday and although the restaurant’s hours say they open at 4 it was locked. First thing I wasn’t impressed with was the box of Kleenex put on our table. No serviettes? Ordered combos and drinks were canned drinks. Meals were served on paper plates. I told my husband that they probably didn’t have enough staff to wash dishes. Being that we were the only ones in the restaurant it probably wouldn’t have been a big deal. I ordered the veal which was not very good. Meat was dark so not sure what part of cut this was from. It was just ok but not anything I’d recommend. My husband’s burger was also not anything special. This isn’t a restaurant we would try again. Maybe their takeout service is a better option and different dishes. I did notice their takeout menu has more variety. People working their were friendly.
I was excited to find a local place that offers grilled whole fish.Upon my first visit I was greeted by a friendly staff. The owner Ryan, came out to see if I had any questions about his menu and truly cares about his customers and his food service. The sea bass was delicious and not offered at many places.Mac n cheese bites were a great appetizer! The chicken was good. Nice and juicy and a great portion. We tried the bbq sauce and will try something different next time. One of the most important things for my family is a fresh salad. All of the items in the salad were fresh and healthy. No old, browned lettuce or mushy tomatoes here. Also had the rice and fries in the pack. Both good.Just don’t have battered fries and I’m a happy diner when comes to my fries. If you’re looking for grilled chicken or fish make sure you check out Fillis BBQ!
Delicious Veal sandwich, bun and toppings were fresh. Friendly staff. Definitely will be back soon.
Why does it take 30 min to get your food? Well because they make everything fresh, like every restaurant should do! It appears familyrun which is nice. The food here is Amazing and so are the prices. I ordered a half chicken with the red rice. Wow! The bbq sauce (mild) has a littleKick but the chicken was moist and cooked perfectly! The rice has an amazing bold flavour and is smooth and cooked perfectly. I also got a side Greek salad with nice home made dressing. 5/5 for value and 5/5 for taste. I will say that it is hard to get staff and remember this isn’t a 5 star restaurant so be patient. They have a wide range menu, so I stick to chicken.
My wife ordered from here about a week ago from Skip and I have to say I was very impressed with the quality of the food and portions. I had a BBQ Chicken combo and the chicken was so tender and tasty. I drove down the other day (as I only live 5min away) ordered at the express area and the staff were very friendly I will 10/10 be back I can't wait to try everything on the menu
Very impressed! Prices were fair and the food was great - for the record I've tried almost every wing place in the area and was dissapointed. Also one of the only places open til midnight! Food took longer than they estimated but its made to order so it's fresh! Friendly service. Will definitely be back to see what else they have, hopefully they keep up the good quality.
The food somewhat redeems the service. I ordered the 1/2 chicken combo for pickup. I was told it would be 30 minutes. It was just over 30 minutes, but I'm not sure what took so long considering that over the 15 minutes I was in the pickup area no one came in and there was only 1 phone call and it looked like the dining room was closed.More importantly I expect that people that take orders know the menu and the food. I expect that they can answer questions about the food (ingredients, methods of cooking, etc.) or be able to get the information. The person at pickup was not able to even answer a simple question about whether the onion rings have dairy (after a few tries of saying it I tried describing, milk, cream, butter). She was not able to, and was not able to get the information. Apparently no one in the restaurant knew. I don't expect perfect english but they should be able to understand food terms. She asked that I type it on her phone, but we're still in a pandemic and I'm not touching someone else's phone. I spelled it out (it's a five letter word!) but a call came in, she went to the back and gave up. I don't think that's acceptable. She also forgot to give me a drink with my combo until I asked if it was included (the menu should say what's included in the combo!). So I guess I wasn't going to get it if I didn't ask.The chicken was tasty although the white meat was a little dry. The sauce was good and the fries were good too.Not sure I would come back to a place where the people taking orders aren't trained properly, don't speak the language enough to understand questions about the food and don't have the wherewithal to get an answer.Edit: I just want to make it clear that it's not how they speak, it's knowing what's in the food and understanding basic food terms (and allergies or intolerances). If they're not ready to be on their own they shouldn't be. Also, maybe paying more for people will result in better hires.
I have tried almost everything on the menu and must say I was always happy with the service, quality and taste of the food.Their prices are also extremely reasonable. Makes me wonder if they even make a profit on the cost. This will he my "go to" restaurant for tasty food at a reasonable cost with fast service. Please keep up the standard as always.
I ordered for the first time from this restaurant and I used skip the dishes. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was definitely the best Chicken Parmesan Sandwich I have had in a long time. Fresh, perfectly cooked and seasoned and so so tasty. And the portion size of chicken was huge. Great value for sure. I don’t know how I missed this place before as I’m literally 5 minutes away. Probably because it is located in a kind of less travelled, one off, smallish sort of plaza. Anyway, I can’t wait to try the signature BBQ Chicken and other items. Try it! You won’t be disappointed.
Amazing meal for 2. My girlfriend and I visited on our trip to Toronto. I had BBQ chicken combo which was catered for gluten free. Instead of the fries, I had the rice. My girlfriend had the poutine which was also delicious. Ryan the owner was very welcoming and the rest of the staff were great. Will definitely be returning!
