It’s crazy because I’ve been coming here for the better part of 5 years of my life because I genuinely loved the falafel here. Literally advocated for it, preached it to everyone I knew.Today I order an order on Uber Eats. I requested the same thing I always order, and somehow this time around they give me a chicken shawarma instead of falafel.I call the restaurant in hope of rectifying my order and getting what I really wanted to eat, all I was looking for was a replacement delivered since I was less then 3 mins drive away. Instead I was met with utter disrespect from the owner as I recognized his voice on the phone and basically telling me that he doesn’t care about my situation and that I should go complain to Uber and order again and again wait 40 mins for a delivery that’s a 3-5 min drive. No remorse or care at all for a long time client. Also might I add, he asked if I could eat the shawarma anyway when I said I was a vegetarian. Absolutely horrible customer service, be sure to never visit this place if you want to be treated like you’re actually paying for a meal and not asking for a free one.
ordered on skip yesterday. one chicken and one falafel wrap. always amazing. charred soft bread, tangy sweet eggplants, smoky babaganoush, soft creamy hummus, crisp coleslaw. the falafel are so good! i was so sad when they took their sandwiches off skip last year, but they put it back. that's the only item I order. they followed the instructions. i only wish there was more eggplant salad, cant have too much eggplant salad. i did ask for more in the instructions, and it seems they followed it because there was a good amount, but I'm ADDICTED to the eggplant salad.
Great Mediterranean takeout place at Dufferin/hwy 7. They do have couple of tables but it’s mostly a takeout place. Their chicken shawarma dinner comes with a side, salad and bread. Easily fills 2. Chicken shawarma wrap is a must try. Very juicy. Their falafel on hummus is also very good. Service is also great. They do have parking onsite.
Lady that works here (I think she's an owner) should know that her bad attitude will make people run away and never come back. She is so rude and miserable!
Instead delivery, I decided to take a walk and take my lunch out. While I was waiting it, I saw the guy working alone in the restaurant making salad with unwashed vegetables.I saw it indeed. He chopped lettuce and cucumber out of the package and put them right into containers, then made my salad with vegetables from the container. I just couldn't eat the main and salad after seeing it, especially with this virus around. If you see one, you can assume others.
I think I have been to just about every middle eastern restaurant in Toronto & GTA. Years ago Me VA Me use to be fabulous. KOL Tov had a great falafel, Shawarmaland in Aurora is not bad, but no one & I mean no one makes a falafel like Dejavu. His falafel sandwich is the best and tastiest sandwich you are going to find in this city. He aces it every time. As well the shawarma is second to none. This place is a gold find for patrons. As well you couldn't find nicer more hospitable people like like the owner & his wife. Let y you in on a little secret when you order a falafel I always ask if he will put an xtra falafel ball in, never refused and never charged me xtra. Oh yes the garlic roasted potatoes are to die for.If you doubt me try it for yourself. I promise no disappointments
My wife and I went here for our 16 year anniversary, they closed their Newmarket location, we had moved, but we still drove close to two hours to go here for our anniversary. It was well worth the drive! BEST shawarma ever!!!
Food is very good. Lamb kabobs are seriously good! They have a interesting style of rice as well.
Great food. The owner is always friendly.
Absolutely amazing quality, the lamb plate is PERFECT. Every bite is savoury, the lamb seasoning, the rice, the potatoes. The salad is spot on. Very very highly recommend. The staff are super nice and friendly as well.
