The worst customer service we have ever seen. Absolutely refused to accommodate a gluten intolerance. We have eaten at some of the best Japanese restaurants in Japan and dozens of Michelin two and three stars and have never had a restaurant not accommodate gluten intolerance. Everything is prepared hours in advance, hence their inability to adjust. This is NOT Omakase, where the Chef prepares fresh on the spot, reading the customer and serving what they expect to enjoy. This place plops the same pre-prepared plates in front of all customers with zero variances. Horribly rude chef owner, clearly does not care about customers. This guy even questioned what restaurants we had been to in Tokyo that provided gluten free! Which we happily answered and he responded to with some ridiculously dismissive response. Steer clear if you expect any appreciation of customer needs or canât stand fake smiles and chefs who care only about the cheque.
An exceptional meal prepared with consummate artistry and know-how by chef Daisuke Izutsu- a unique experience. ArigatÅgozaimashita!
Weâve been to a handful of Omakase experiences around the GTA and this was one of our favorites. Each dish was unique and essentially a piece of art. From different ingredients we have never experienced, to cooking methods we have never thought could be applied to an ingredient, it was a fun experience (eg. Never seen soy sauce in a foam cube format). The staff were very courteous, like most high-end Japanese restaurants, and the chef was professional yet casual we had fun conversations with him during and after the meal. Highly recommend Yukashi.
This is the best omakase experience I have had in the GTA.
Itâs really good experience. The food was very fresh and very good presentation. And the service was very good too.
Chef and servers are attentive and food is good. Will be back for seasonal menus
Delicious food and delicate presentation!!! Fresh, flavourful, unique and memorable. The chef and servers are so kind :) Definitely an awesome dining experience! Thanks for having us tonight!
Beautiful dishes, a one of a kind experience. Service is elegant and lovely.
I’m not good with words, but I want to share my first omakase restaurant at @yukashitoronto today. It has truly changed my perspective on how sushi is supposed to be prepared. Every single dishes represent chef Daisuke's attention to detail. It truly awakens my pallets and brings me a new appreciation for Japanese food.I think the best part Of my dinner is chef Daisuke. He was a delight! I have never felt so comfortable and at home. I didn’t feel like I was at a restaurant but at a friend's house, and we were all having dinner and sharing stories. When the guests leave, chef Daisuke would walk them to the door and thank them. His hospitality is something that I have rarely experienced which truly speak volume about him. I cannot recommend it enough. I will be back.
Having enjoyed Japanese food for many many years, the quality, preparation, and taste are exquisite. It is an experience that is truly special with special sauces and the sake tasting included 2 personal brands. It is pricey but it was enough and but enough for my husband. He was was not full; sashimi were small pieces and if some of the dishes could have been a little more generous like the rice dish and soup, he would have felt more satisfied.
