Have returned, would recommend. There is usually a lineup for this affordable, but consistently high quality Chinese BBQ restaurant.I recommend the 3combo with duck, chicken and roast pork + a pound of BBQ Pork. The 3 combo is enough to share between two. Very good flavours, the meat is very tender and juicy as well. They turnaround quickly and will often replenish their stock within the day. Takes AMEX which is amazing.Highly recommend this place on the East End.
This was my fav restaurant when it comes to BBQ Duck. Still good products except the pitching of the dime started. We use to get 2 green onion free with this order, now it's none and 50 cents for 1. These are the little things that I use to appreciate, however use cash and go to the restaurant closer to Gerrard. Hopefully they don't get greedy like this one and a charge for green onion with order of bbq duck. Additional, I understand the charge but not with the order. 1 should always be free.
BBQ pork was pretty dry and not too flavourful. Would probably go to the Spadina Chinatown for BBQ but would return for their duck! Decently flavoured and good amount of meat. Not a bad spot in east Chinatown overall.
Ordered the BBQ Pork w/ Broccoli for pickup using Uber. Food was okay and portions were good.
Found a feather in my food yesterday! Wish they followed the basic of food safety protocols. Don’t recommend to anyone!
Oh myyyyyyy......all I can say is......of you haven't tried this place yet then you're definitely missing out on some delicious treats! Go visit and eat. ?????
Ordered BBQ pork asked to cut is in small bite size and the stupid butcher cuts it in dog sizes. Similar like someone else said in earlier post.I spent 65$ + worth of food on each visit. Screw that butcher who ruin my dinner experience!I used to love this place I haven't been back in months because I move uptown, but if they changed owners than I know not to return.
Via Skip, today ordered Fish noodle soup but received Fish Congee. The noodles in the Lo-mein beef brisket dish was clumpy and flavourless; not enough beef gravy to help the blandness. The Buddah delight veggie mostly had bean sprouts. The only good thing was the roasted pork with green onions and ginger which was free with $35+ orders. Overall, dissappointed. I did let the restaurant know about being accurate with orders and the lady on the phone listened so that's nice at least.
I love the roasted and BBQ pork here! Great price and delish! Oh..and make sure to try their crispy prawns.
I don't even want to write this review. Wok and Roast is always good but then again I'm not always there. Sometimes the service is just not up to regular standards. I don't even know if they are forgetful or just flat out rude but I can't understand how I can order BBQ duck and then get BBQ pork. Maybe I trust them a bit too much or maybe I don't pay attention enough but there's no way around it when I ask for the "ginger onion sauce" and the young guy(not the owner) says ok and then put no sauce in my take out. What the hell? If you hate your job then don't ruin the business. It only makes your customers not want to return and then you wonder why. It's going to be a while until I come back and now at least you know why. Good food but bad service. That's KaKa lucky for you.
