Friendly staff and good food
Upon questions from the owner, I will detail why I gave this spot two stars generously as they really deserve one. We came at half-time to watch the Raptors game and it took us twenty minutes to get served. We had asked if it was possible to change one of the televisions to the Raptors playoff game as it was playing the Leafs game and from our observations and after asking the tables around us, who also thought it was a good idea. Our server told us that she would ask. It took another twenty minutes to get our drinks and there was no follow-up with changing the television so we had to shimmy in a very awkward position to watch the game on the large screen. We then tried to flag someone for food but gave up. I had to walk to another server for our bill while my partner was in the bathroom and we paid and left. Thankfully, we went to another place and had a great meal and was served kindly by the owner there. I would have liked to comment on the food at Trinity Common but was never given a chance to even order.
Poor service:We came for drinks and dinner on Monday. We were a large ish group with like 15 people spread over 2 tables. The service was subpar as the server/kitchen forgot some of our food orders. When we asked (multiple times) he kept saying "10 more minutes". Finally it took over an hour for the food to come, at this point some of our friends from the other table were already paying for their bills and ready to leave. No compensation/discount was offered. Furthermore, when it was finally our turn to pay, there was an extra lemonade on the bill. Our server was very reluctant to rectify the mistake, complaining that "I will have to re-open the ticket of the entire table... It will take a long time". I thought this "service" was unacceptable.
selection of beers and electric atmosphere
There's nothing spectacular about this place except the nice big wooden tables and the big screen tv showing the game. The selection of beers are alright, but you could get the same -if not larger variety - from Craft for a cheaper price. The 7 year anniversary deals are: $7 for a cracker food thing and $7 for a vodka-apple juice type drink (as stated by the staff). The drinks were about $8-10 dollars.
After another establishment down the street cancelled our reservation for 15 people without warning, Trinity Common welcomed us in and made room without hesitation. Was pouring rain out, and they managed to bring in chairs from outside and dried it all off.Staff were quick and beyond friendly. Margaritas were fantastic!Thank you for saving the night!
Stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere to grab drinks. They have a fantastic selection (especially on tap!) The service was also really great, and the music playlist rocks. ?
The team at Trinity really puts their heart into making sure guests have a good time. They’ve fought through so many obstacles due to COVID and I’m so excited to see how this place continues to improve.
If I could give the bartenders 0 stars I would. It took 20 minutes to be served and the bartenders did shots while 30 people stood around waiting???They’re unbelievably rude and witnessed one bartender (guy with tattoos) yell at a person last night for just trying to get his attention for a drink. The most unorganized staff I have ever seen, management really needs to figure it out. I understand things are busy but when the servers pour their own shots before serving customers, that’s just unacceptable. It’s unfortunate cause the music and vibes are good but definitely will not be returning nor will I recommend this place to any friends, family or coworkers purely based on the bartenders. Horrible experience last night.
One of the most disgusting bars I’ve been to in a long time. Food was good but the smell was atrocious. It smelt like grease and especially by the bathrooms I found it hard to breathe. They also seem incredibly understaffed and some of them look sickly and overworked.
