My first time eating out Nigerian food since arriving Canada and I was expecting to get a taste of real Nija Jollof but my expectations were all shattered. We ordered meal for about 6 persons and a free vegi salad on the house. The beef Suya was not fresh and the taste was very different from the Naija Suya. We also ordered the goat suya which was more like fried goat meat. Nice man, great hospitality, and thank you.

Service wasn't the best. Took long to place order, otherwise food was great, atmosphere amazing but I'd suggest they clean and turnover tables sooner.

The right spot to relax when you're ready to eat spicy slices of Beef meat, Goat meat, and all kinds of ? Alcohol , and non Alcohol drinks while making life more fun and meaningful.

The food here was lit. The Suya tasted just right, makes loads of sense, great service too from the smiling beautiful lady at the cashier and the DJ gentleman.

The goat suya was completely bland and seemed as though it had been boiled and fried. It also had dry pepper (ata gungun) as the seasoning instead of suya pepper. The sides/toppings were not tomatoes or onions, instead it was shredded cabbage. I was really looking forward to their suya but was sorely disappointed.

I read a bunch of reviews and I'm a little surprised. I just ordered from there for the first time tonight. Guy at the counter was super chill and the goat he recommended tasted really really good. Very tasty. And the jollof rice is amazing too.

The beef suya is so dry, burnt in most cases and the customer service is the worst. Please talk to the lady who attends to customers, she’s extremely rude. I have been to this branch about 3 times and it’s the same experience. You need to work on the beef suya

Due to the pandemic, the restaurant was mainly operating on takeout vibez, but they did have few booths to sit and dine. According to my uncle, pre-pandemic, this place was the hot spot, with a live DJ playing Nigerian music and packed to the brim with people. However, upon my visit there was no body in there, no music playing and not the best customer service. They seemed to be really busy with takeout orders though. We ordered their Large Chicken Suya, Large Beef Suya, Jollof Rice and Plantain. I really enjoyed their Suya spice, it was very comparable to what is served in Nigeria. But truthfully, both the Chicken and Beef Suya were pretty dry, not to say that they tasted bad or anything, but the meat lacked moisture. It also didn’t help that it was served with cabbage and onions instead of tomatoes and onions. Also, their large portion was giving small, with a large price. I will say that I really enjoyed their Jollof rice, the flavour was really lovely and I loved how they didn’t overdo the smokiness of the rice. And of course it paired nicely with the plantain. But again, for roughly $12, the portion was pretty small. All in all, although rather expensive, if you are seriously craving some Nigerian cuisine, especially Jollof, The Suya Spot might just hit the spot for you!

Love Suya Spot… only gave it 4 stars because the Suya on the weekend doesn’t taste like how the weekdays Suya taste. Mon-Thurs the lady that is there makes the best juiciest Suya. I’m not sure who the chef is on the weekend, but it is usually dry and not as enjoyable. My husband and I only buy Suya during the week now and we are never disappointed :)

This place has the worst customer service ever. Twice they got my orders wrong, the third time they did not add on my Suya pepper and worst of all, I complained to the so-called manager (#the tall black guy with dreads). He was so rude, argued with me, talked over me and made references to McDonald's. Well, I beg to differ; McDonald's would have resolved the matter in a much more reasonable and gentle manner. He was persistent in his lack of respect. He was condescending and he kept saying that they added pepper to all their orders and dismissed everything I had to say. He never apologized once (literally calling me a liar)!!.. He does not know the first thing about customer service and should not speak to anyone like that. Keeping it in mind that there are other Suya places across Toronto, I certainly will never refer anyone here, and I will no longer patronize this restaurant.
