I was at the restaurant this Saturday for salsa on St. Clair. I asked the host if we could have my friends dog on the patio. She said let me check and came back and said it was fine. There was another dog also on the patio. Half way through our meal the owner came over and yelled at us saying he could get fined or lose his business. He said he was going to let us finish but then we have to leave. There was no need for the yelling or being an Ahole especially after we were told by the hostess that we could have the dog on the patio. I spoke after with the hostess and she dismissed the whole situation. It’s a shame their food was really good but I will never go back after the way we were treated was disgusting!!!!! Also our server gave us a hard time for asking for separate bill. He said they are short staffed and it’s the festival so it was our problem they were short staffed. This place needs to educate there staff on the dog rules and good customer service but then look at the owner so no wonder.

Great staff and excellent service! Had dinner last Friday and was very happy.Kitchen staff work together like a team. Happy to see that: Delicious meal, with a great atmosphere! Will definitely return : ) 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Rushton is a neighbourhood staple I frequently visit and I can't think of a time I've been let down.Calamari was delicious, lobster ravioli was to die for, and all our beverages were a hit as well. Love the giant shot glasses for our afternoon delight.

The service is terrible at this restaurant. And this is coming from someone who doesn't really care about the service at a restaurant. We were seated at the table outside of fenced the patio area, next to the hostess table and we were completely forgotten.I understand it being a busy night, or maybe the servers were confused about who should be serving us, but why seat us there if no one knows how to serve that table. And if no one knows who should be serving us, I'm pretty sure you can figure it out in <30 minutes. Why put a table there in the first place?? We were sitting with the menus and the water for 30 minutes before the hostess came back to us to refill our waters. At this point, tables that came after us were served. When the hostess came to our table, we told the hostess we were leaving. The hostess also didn't seem to care. All she said was "oh okay, that's fair. I can grab someone for you?" There was no urgency or care in her tone.

Inside restaurant was packed!!!We opted to sit on the patio rather than have someone breathe on our food.Heater wasn't working. My steak came cold.2 servers for the whole place.Took 45 minutes for our food to come.No waterNot condiments (basic salt and pepper).Asked to see the manager. "What do you want?!"Rude and disgusting! We left, vowing to tell every one we know about our horrible experience. It's a shame. The servers were nice polite kids doing an impossible job!We have been there many, many times before.NEVER again!!!

We went to grab Friday dinner there - no reservation. Place was packed! We knew it’s a good sign.We ordered special lamb shank in GORGEOUS SAUCE and small rare steak (don’t get fooled, the portion is HUGE).Everything was so good. Fresh, amazing ingredients, the service, I felt like I was visiting old friends who know how to cook and have delicious wine ready for me;)I highly recommend, the vibe and food is just ah-mazing!

Loved the seafood platter. The calamari was crispy and everything was perfectly cooked without being overcooked. The one for one person is plenty for two.

An understood neighbourhood favourite gearing up for a fun season. I can't wait! The Rushton staff, from Saul & Norman to Marcello, was super welcoming and attentive. The passion is authentic. The vibe - genuine. It is what we need.Chef, Marcello, surprised me with a special twist of a menu favourite. Folks, tastebuds were blasted into the foodosphere!

lentil soup was delicious - fragrant spices made it very tasty and it was 'dinner' sized. I ordered it with a simple green salad and the subtle dressing was surprising - I thought it was not dressed at all - didn't overpower the crisp greens - but was a lovely, barely there light 'aftertaste' - perfect! Hubby thoroughly enjoyed the lamb shank and creme brule. Excellent service as well.
