The Rose and Crown is a staple of mid-town Toronto!Casual Irish pub style design-- wood bar, wood trim, wood floor, etc. Added a few more modern flairs near the back of the bar since I had last been there (graffiti style art behind glass near the dartboards)Very music oriented! Not only do they still have live music late at night, but a modern style digital jukebox you can queue songs at near the stage.Added games are pool tables and dart boards in the back. Also has a secondary tap bar there for the parties.I've had several casual dates, birthday parties and drinks with friends here over the years because of the great community vibe and incredible customer service. If you get the owners, Johnny or his wife serving you, you'll have an even better time! I once left my phone on the bar and she chased me down half a block to give it back to me!Food is a 7 out of 10. It's pubfair, it tastes good, but you're not doing fine dining here. You're at a pub, ya silly goose!Very easy to commute to, about a 5 minute walk from Eglinton Station.I've had many memories built here over the years, so I can confidently say this is a wonderful pub. But give it a try and build your own memories! If this review helped please click the button below!

Nice place to hangout with friends. Have live music in the evening. Very lively atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Service is very quick. Have limited number of options in food. Food taste is average. Difficult to find parking on the street. However, there is a municipal parking very close and the charges for parking is also very minimal. $2.5 for half and hour and max amount they charge if you park between 6:00PM to 7:00 AM is $6. Overall all its a nice place.

One of my favourite bars, been multiples times and very rarely have had bad customer service. Very friendly and kind staff. Amazing drinks menu, and have fun event on weekends as well.

We weren't checked for our vaccination QR codes even though we all readily pulled them out upon seating & it was before the Mar. 1 changeover. Just FYI about that. Thankfully It wasn't busy/fairly empty & we were a group of 7-8. Our server was attentive & friendly (& very pregnant which was interesting given not checking our vax statuses). They didn't have a lot of hot beverages we asked for on a cold day; no hot chocolate, only tea was orange pekoe, no decaf coffee. Food was ok, nothing standout. This place met our needs for a place to accomodate a group, but it didn't exceed them.

awesome Irish Pub friendly staff , music, food.

Organised a Meetup of 6 people here and it was just the best. The ambiance to begin with is very mellow and just right to have those evening drinks and chat up. The food was excellent as well. Among us, we ordered beers, wine, chicken wings, Mac and cheese, Sandwich and pad Thai which was all so delicious ! The dessert menu is very limited and had just two items - chocolate mousse and apple crumble with ice cream. We did try them and it was good however would love to have a few more options. The staff is super friendly and the music from the 90s was perfect.Best thing about this place - the menu prices include tax (so you do know what you’re gonna end up paying from the start ;)) !!!This is going to become my local pub hangout for sure !!!! ?

I used to root for you, I supported your business for 8+ years by frequenting on weekends prior to 2020, and by frequently getting take-out while we were in lockdowns. I hyped your pub up to all of my friends and this is how you repay your patrons - with segregationist and discriminatory practices. I'm never going to support your business again, I will remember the stance you took for decades even after the pandemic ends. Your little VIP only (vaccinated "intellectual" persons) sign really says everything there is to know about your business practices, politics and ethics (lack thereof, to be precise). You may as well change that sign to "We're bigots who endorse and encourage segregation and discrimination."

We had an amazing night, nice music, good food + Superb service!

Solid old school party pub, back to having live music. Good food, nothing too fancy. Best part is how cold they serve the draught beer, so damn good!!! Highly recommended for a fun pub night with friends or to catch a game on one of their many tvs.

A great bar should have great bar food and The Rose and Crown hits the mark. Been here a few times and have had the fish and chips and the buffalo chicken wrap; both were equally unhealthy, delicious, and what was needed in that moment.Drinks are on the pricier side, but I did really love that each branded beer came with its correctly branded glass; it was charming.Overall a good pub to hang with friends and tinker with the Juke box.
