I've heard food is one of the best ways to heal a broken heart. Well - I'm not sure how true that is but I am inclined to believe it is true after having dinner at The Heartbreak Chef.Let's get on with my order! The Likkle Dutty Chicken Sandwich had a piece of their famous fried chicken tossed in an extra hot jerk sauce, topped with grilled pineapple, and creamy slaw - absolutely delicious with the pineapple adding a tangy taste to the savory chicken! The Mac and Charlie was the perfect companion to it with warm macaroni and cheese stuffed in the classic grilled cheese, giving it a delightful, gooey texture! The tater tots were great. The chicken sandwhich was extremely difficult to eat because of the size of it BUT it tasted great! I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu
After reading online reviews I decided to visit Heartbreak Chef.I’m extremely impressed with the friendly service and the food.The portion size is enough for two people . Which is great as I’ll have the pleasure of enjoying more later on.The food is very tasty. The chicken is juicy and flavourful. The macaroni is nice & cheesy. I will definitely be back in the near future to try more items on the menu. Thank you to the amazing staff for your dedication in preparing the food. Very much appreciated.
Chicken was crunchy and flavourful. Slaw was delicious! I even went back the next dayMy heart was broken yesterday. I came from the west end. And they said all out of chicken.I tried another spot considered one of the best, and it just reassured me that heartbreak chef is the best chicken sand-which in Toronto.
THE BEST CHICKEN SANDOS IN TORONTO!!! Heartbreak Chef has these unbelievable juicy fried chicken masterpieces— (sandwiches, Mac/cheese) tossed with in-house sauces, which are packed with SO MUCH FLAVOUR and the spice level is 10000% to perfection. Can’t ever forget about the creamy slaw which pairs perfectly with each bite. They do a great deal of VERY generous giveaways which you can enter via their Instagram handle @theheartbreakchef

Amazing combination of crispy chicken and delicious red cabbage salad.Restaurant is managed by very professional women which makes the quality consistent all the time and keeps customers delighted ????
This review is late but I went this past spring and they have the best chicken sandwiches. Weirdly they also have the best pickles in those sandwiches (I was obsessed). The sides were also so good. The portions were huge so you can def share with someone. It does take a bit of a wait but it’s worth it because they’re making it fresh. I’m not in that area often but I always want to go to THC if I am
Very very good!! If there was only less grease I'd love it even more, but it was just hard to eat all given it made me feel so full so quickly. We got the tater tots and their chicken sandwich and the taste was delicious.
The hype is real. The sandwich was massive and delicious and the tater tots are crispy and well spiced. Love that everything is cooked fresh when you order. Blasting 90’s hip hop, incredible service what more could you ask for. Will definitely be back to try the mac & cheese
