I didn't even know of Gingerman restaurant until Rise & Dine was closed yesterday (monday). It was SO SURPRISING for this neighborhood, I've lived over 5 years now and been traveling to Golden Griddle, Sunset grill or Cora's and I've been SO DISAPPOINTED.Gingerman is a small but cozy place, the home fries was fresh not greasy, same with EVERYTHING else being FRESH! the hollandaise sauce is nothing like I've tasted elsewhere, light & tasty and super delicious!!! Even my picky toddler ate the fresh to deaf blueberry pancake! That says a lot! I'm so glad I came across this hidden place and look forward to trying their lunch menu!Keep it up! You're SO APPRECIATED!
Nostalgic was the word that I could think of as I walked in. This place reminded me of the northern greasy spoon restaurants I used to eat at with the daily specials as a child. The server was incredibly helpful and charismatic. The food was exactly what you expected it to be. This restaurant is not shy of portions either. As I left I was completely stuffed and had to take the rest to go. The price range is decent as well. If you're looking for a greasy spoon like place to eat, this is definitely the place to go. I will definitely be going again in the future ??
Wow Wow, this place is awesome. I was full with joy and honour to be served with Excellent customer service. The meals are on another level of taste and cook with love. This is my second time attending this restaurant. The staff are Amazing and well dedicated to what they do. Myself and family would like to thank the managers and Staff for their Excellent service and tasty meals.
Best place in good ol' Scarborough for a proper breakfast / lunch or dinner.Old school, local family run diner/restaurant in an unsuspecting mini strip plaza (of course). Defiantly a hidden gem.I have dined in many times - their portions are almost too generous. Great egg benny's, chicken souvlaki's, their Classic club house sandwich is off the charts.I recently had their "Hot beef" dinner (see photo) - a very comforting and homestyle feeling came over me as I was enjoying it.Always terrific service from the ladies - the cook is also a very friendly guy.Amazing value for what you get.Can and will always recommend this place.
It feels like I was dining at my house. My family and I felt welcome, like we were served by our own family. The food is prepared with lots of love. May God bless them.
My last review wasn't very flattering, but recent new owners have turned it around and made it once again best brekkie place in East York, on Victoria Park south of St. Clair, sat sun/busy for brekkie, try the peameal and eggs or peameal sandwich thick cut plentiful. try their burgers too, homemade,. give them a try
An old school diner serving generous portions with a super friendly and attentive staff. All the good reviews here are confirmed. The place was busy but service was quick and efficient. Orders were all large portions and coffee refills were super prompt which was nice. It was a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. I'll definitely put it in my mental rolodex of places for a decent breakfast in the city.
The best Peameal Bacon anywhere in Toronto. I have tried just about every diner and breakfast place in T.O. and this place is definitely top tier. Their Homefried Potatoes are the best with good portions and real potatoes not cheap frozen hashbrowns. If you like Toasted Westerns treat yourself to one of Angleo's and have possibly the best T.Western you'll find with fresh tasting ingredients and a good sized portion.
The man on the phone is pleasant and patient; great first impression. The food prices have gone up so the posted prices are not accurate. However, the food you get for the price is amazing; tasty and plentiful.
Delicious breakfast option! Ordered some breakfast through Skip The Dishes while working in the area. The food always showed up hot and tasty. Not a big fan of the styrofoam containers though, noticed the hot food would melt holes in the bottom. That being said, the food was definitely delicious!
