Server was nice. Food was good. My first two drink choices off the menu were sold out and it took a solid 15 minutes or so to get our drink order in, but I think it was pretty busy inside. I'd go back. Wonton Nachos are great. Just wish they had a few more drink options outside of beer.

Good beer. Good food. Good music. Pool table. Darts. Pinball. Outstanding service. This bar is a hidden gem.

They use to have Toronto's BEST nachos, why did they change it? Did ownershio change in the last year or two?

One of the best bars in the city to watch sports if you are a fan. No pomp and circumstance just good beer, dim lights and lots of TV.The thing people over look is the food. Doc Ellis punches way above its weight on food. They serve what might be the best fried chicken sandwich in the city. Seriously. BEST IN THE CITY.

A very good old friend and I docked at the wood on Thursday. After a very good end to a long week. Dock Ellis speaks to everyone. Don't get me started on their amazing selection of beer - it's freaking amazing! Games like old-school pinball, foosball and pool exist for the 'baller' in you. Perfect for a low-key, icebreaker first-date.We see the positive trajectory of a smart establishment, which the space truly is, go higher. Their kind, sweet and observant staff keep it all together. And, if you're a real food nut like me (challenge me to an eating contest), and want to see creativity mash up with simplicity and deliciousness, dip in to their menu. I went all in on their nachos. Using wonton chips is brilliant. You'll be happy you were upsold on adding chili. A small but mighty mountain of flavour. It's a beautiful climb to the peak. And, Dock Ellis is the peak of all things to all people.

Myself and a group of friends spent an extended afternoon turned into the evening, to last call at Doc. One server, very friendly guy transfered our table to another server. The next guy attended to our very simple orders, tall cans, some shots. At the end of the night, 2 of 5 of us wanted to settle up. The server and the gentleman behind the bar informed us that our tab was out of control, and said they were not responsible for having our portion separated. As someone who respects how busy things get, and the busy work of the service industry, we were willing to work with our group to figure the bill out. The server was rude, and not appreciative of us as customers who spent 500 plus for the eve. Put a negative taste in our mouth. Still tipped well.

Got burgers and fries for takeout - really solid burger but enjoyed the fries a lot!

Great spot. Good beer selection on tap, excellent food menu with some cool twists on staple pub foods, very friendly and accommodating staff, pool and arcade games and other fun stuff to do. A1!

Great staff, good fries and food, fun place to watch basketball.
