I love this place first for the charbroiled burgers and the buns they use. No fancy brioche buns or egg washed this and that, just a good old traditional burger. The free parking lot is a rare find in Midtown Toronto which is also why I stop there often. Not in the mood for a burger? Try the chicken souvlaki on a pita for a lighter meal. Wide variety of canned pops to choose from. They do a good breakfast too. Best authentic burger joint in T.O.
I have had the tastiest homemade burger since I landed here in Toronto in 2019. No chance for anyone else. It rocks
I've been coming to Burger Shack for my whole life. In my opinion you won't find a better burger in the city! Nice beefy patty, lots of fresh toppings and friendly staff. It has changed in 35 years and I hope it never does! Be sure to get the homemade BBQ sauce.
A great little fast food restaurant that is an institution, having served good food in this neighbourhood for years. The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items.The char-broiled burgers are amazing! There is a great choice of fresh toppings to customize your burger while you watch. Real cheddar cheese is available along with delicious fresh french fries.The staff at the restaurant are always friendly and accommodating. Although the restaurant is not much to look at, it is clean and the food is very good and good value for your money. A great place to visit when you don't want to cook, or when you need to grab a quick bite to satisfy your hunger.
Got a home made cheeseburger and an onion rings with a drink (canned coke). The total came up to a bit over $17. The burger was really good with a nice charcoal flavour, fresh and perfectly cooked party. Their onion rings were good too. Nice and crunchy. It was a bit more pricier than I thought but if anyone wants to make a change from eating fast food burgers, this place would be a perfect spot to go and get one.
This is the type of burger that I love none of this Smashburger nonsense the true grilled burger with the charcoal tasteBurger Shack burger fries and hot dog all fantastic. They just have to update it a little bit being a bigger guy the booth was very uncomfortable and a little upgrade wouldn't be a bad idea. The service was amazing and very helpful on making suggestions. But if you like the true traditional old school Burger this is the place to go
My first time coming to this place. Seems like a family owned businesses , looks very busy food is ok but portions are very small for what you pay for. I got the chicken dinner $16.75+tax . Their burgers looks good tho
While they could certainly invest in higher quality buns with a golden top, the meat patty in my homemade burger was juicy and flavourful. I'm lucky to have this burger place in my neighbourhood. Other than Holy Chuck, Grillies on Bayview and The Burger's Priest, I can't think of any other good place for quality burgers in the neighbourhood. If you're craving a proper old-fashioned burger, I don't think The Burger Shack is going to disappoint you. They their fries too. They're pretty good.
It was my first time at The Burger Shack and it was a great experience. The burgers were home style and delicious. There was lots of toppings that could be added to the burger and overall it was great. The shop has been there for a while (evident by the overall atmosphere of the shop) and it has its own clients. I ordered the fries which was fresh cut and delicious. Overall, it was a great experience and I definitely recommend it.
