It's all very tasty on the menu. Service is chill. Would go back.
I want to go back every day to see what new specials they have. I travelled from Chicago and tried this place as it was close to where I was staying. When I'm back in Toronto I will make it a point to go back no matter where I stay. All of the staff was friendly and fun even during their brunch rush. The salmon benny was the best I've ever had. Also always, ALWAYS get a side of their French toast. If you are a fan of Caesars, they have the best one I had in Toronto. I can't wait to go back!
When I'm not eating brunch at The Ace, I'm daydreaming about eating brunch at The Ace. My go-to dish is the hummus breakfast bowl - salty and savoury with a kick of spice. It might not sound as sexy as the duck confit toast (which my partner swears by, incidentally), but it's a game changer. You'll also enjoy friendly and attentive staff, good drip coffee, great playlists, and if you're looking for hair of the dog, you can't go wrong with the mimosa. Highly recommend!
Just celebrated my parents 49th wedding anniversary here. We were six sitting at the table in the front window. The whole experience was just exquisite. Our waitstaff were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our every need was met throughout the evening. The food was sublime. I would be hard-pressed to pick a favorite and we sampled almost everything on the menu between us! It was an absolutely perfect evening and I'm so glad we live right around the corner so we can go again soon!
I loved this restaurant! Went here for brunch with a group of 5 people and we all got something different. Everything tasted and looked so good!! Their in house hot sauce was delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back. Great experience.
I had a great time at The Ace. It was very busy and we sat at the bar.We had the torched mackerel special, the brussels sprout dish, fried chicken, and the sticky toffee pudding. All were excellent.The bartender was very polite and had great recommendations. He had a really great knowledge of the wines and beers carried at the restaurant and helped me make a very unique choice on my wine that paid off.Everything arrived quickly despite the very high traffic.The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. I will definitely be back at this local bar where the owners actually work in the kitchen and make everything from scratch!
The Ace offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with some really friendly and helpful staff. We went for brunch and all the meals looked and tasted great. We will definitely be going back again, and are excited to go for a dinner to check out those options as we were very impressed with the brunch selection. Highly recommend.
This is a beautiful, intimate place. Perfect for a first date or tiny celebration of some kind, call a head for a reservation or sit at the bar because seating is limited. Maximum capacity is about 35 people before covid so make a reservation. One large table that could sit 6 or 7 only in the front window. Food is excellent here and just over mid range price.
Excellent food! We were invited by some friends and they told us there was live Jazz every other Thursday evening at The Ace in Roncesvalles. Came for the Jazz and loved the food and vibe.
